Anadarko Daily News May 31, 1934 CHRISTIAN CHURCH PASTOR PRINCIPAL SPEAKER AT LOCAL MEMORIAL DAY EXERCISES Anticipating that the Memorial Day services would be carried out as announced, the speaker from Ft. Sill coming to make the address, the Daily News going to press before the program was given, said that Major Kilkenny, U.S. army chaplain, Fort Sill, would be the principal speaker. The speaker failed to show up and Rev. Clifford B. James was called to make the address and his talk was highly complimented. He had had no time for special preparation. The remainder of the program was carried out as advertised with one exception, Kent Stockton sounded the echo to taps in the place of George Tabor.
