Marshall GRANDPA MARSHALL CALLED Grandpa Marshall, known and loved by all in this community, died last Saturday, Nov. 1, at his home north of Fort Cobb, at the ripe old age of 76 years, 2 months and 20 days. Funeral services over the remains were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Christian Church. The church was filled with relatives and friends who came to pay a final tribute to a useful citizen. The Prayer by Rev. Evans and the sermon by Rev. Shook will linger in the memory of everyone present. Calvin V. Marshall was born August 12, 1848 at Darlington, S.C. He went to Marcus, Haynes county, Texas where he met and married Miss Fannie Hall, who died in 1892. To this union was born four sons, one having died in infancy and Oscar F., in January of this year. Two, Hardy and Roy, who have, with untiring love and deotion, cared for him during his declining years, and one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Maggie Marshall and son Calvin, survive him. In early life he united with the Methodist Church; after coming to Oklahoma n 1912 he united with the Christian Church. He had been in very poor health for several years and bore his suffering with Christian fortitude. On Saturday, November 1, 1924, he peacefully passed away, aged 76 years, 2 months and 20 day
