Caddo County Newspapers - The Fort Cobb Express 1912 ======================================================================== July 21, 1912 H.H. CHRONISTER DEAD AT AGE OF 107 YEARS Henry Harrison Chronister died at his farm home three miles east and a half mile south of Fort Cobb, last Monday morning at the extreme advanced age of 107 years, 4 months and 12 days. Mr. Chronister, who was born in Pennsylvania, was one of the very earliest settlers in Caddo county, having homesteaded the farm on which he died. His was a long and active life; up to a few years he was doing his own work. He was of robust build, being about 6 feet tall and weighing over 200 pounds until a short time ago. His last appearance in town was last February. Surviving him are his wife, one son, Frank, living at Shidler, and one daughter, Ida, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Compton, and interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
