Claude Edward Smith 25 jan 1928 ~ 21 jun 1952 FUNERAL RITES SET SUNDAY FOR SGT. C.E. SMITH Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church for Sgt. Charles Edward Smith, 24, who was killed in action in Korea. Sgt. Smith was killed on June 21. He was born January 25, 1928, in Anadarko. Survivors include his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd P. Smith of Anadarko; one brother, Walter Smith of Apache; five sisters, Mrs. Leona Flyn and Mrs. Ethel Stidham, of Anadarko; Mrs. Francis Adams, Fort Worth; Mrs. Jewel Kunze, Cyril, and Mrs. Opal Roberts, Apache. Rev. Jack Henson will officiate at the services. Burial will be in the Fairview cemetery (Apache) under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
