Calvin Webb was born in the state of Illinois on Sept. 3, 1835 where he grew 
to manhood, later moving to Kansas from which state he answered the call for 
volunteers and en- listed in the Tenth Kansas for service in the civil war. 
At the close of the conflict in 1865 he was married to Elizabeth Hunter who 
with five children, three sons and two daughters survive him.
In the fall of 1891 the family moved to Logan county, Oklahoma territory. 
where they resided until 1903, when they settled on the farm in Canadian 
county, northwest of Minco which has been their home.
