Caddo Co. Oklahoma - Civil War ================================================= The Hinton Record September 29, 1927 TUSTISON, A. CIVIL WAR VETERAN DEAD The rapidly thinning ranks of veterans of the civil war veterans was added to when A. Tustison answered the call of "taps" at his late home southwest of Hinton early Tuesday morning. Mr. Tustison was a pioneer settler of the Sugar Creek community, having come there at the opening. He was a native of Ohio and during the civil war served in the Union army for a number of years. Mr. Tustison had been in ill health for some time and suffered from a complication of diseases and the past winter had an attack of double pneumonia. Deceased was 85 years, 10 months and 7 days old and leaves several children and other close relatives and many friends to mourn his demise. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon by Rev. C.W. Morrison at the Tustison residence. Interment was made in the Hinton cemetery.
