Caddo Co. Oklahoma - Civil War ================================================= Clark, Thomas J. (The Anadarko Tribune 10-Feb-1927) THOS. J. CLARK, AGED UNION SOLDIER, DEAD The death of Thomas J. Clark here Monday, February 3, removes another Union soldier from the rapidly thinning ranks. Mr. Clark was 86 years old. He came to Caddo county at the opening and resided for many years on a farm near Cogar. For the past ten years he had resided off and on at Anadarko. He was born in Indiana April 15, 1840. He had been a member of the Christian church thirty-five years. He leaves behind to mourn his departure three sons and two daughters Mrs. M.L Van Wormer, Osborne, Kansas; Dr. L.G. Clark, Los Angeles, Calif.; Dr. W.A. Clark, Alhambra, Calif.; Mrs. J.E. Lawson, Alhambra, Calif.; and M.R. Clark, Ogden, Utah. Mrs. Van Wormer, M.R. Clark and a grandson arrived for the funeral. The remains were interred in the section reserved for members of the G.A.R. at the Anadarko cemetery Monday afternoon under the direction of the Gish Funeral Home. Members of Tallent-Gassaway post of the American Legion acted as pallbearers.
