Caddo Co. Oklahoma - Civil War ================================================= Beall, Edward - Co. E., Pvt., 47th Iowa Vol. Inf. born 23-Dec-1838; died 28-Jan-1918 The Anadarko Tribune, January 31, 1918. Edward Beall was born in Griggsville, Pike county, Ill. December 23, 1838 and died near Alfalfa, Okla., January 28, 1918, at the age of 79 years, 1 month and 5 days. He was converted at an early age and joined the Missionary Baptist Church and was a faithful member. He served as private in Co. E., 47th Iowa Volunteer Infantry during the Civil War. He was married soon after the war ended to Miss Hannah Hickock at Winterset, Iowa, who departed this life on the 27th day of May 1910. To this union were born five sons, four of whom survive the deceased. These sons are W.E. Beall of Washita; F.O. Beall of Apache; O.T. Beall and C.A. Beall of Alfalfa. The other son was J.A. Beall, who died in September of 1917 and was buried in the cemetery at Alfalfa.
