Robert Whitten STANDIFER - Died at 1:30 p.m. on September 19, 1938 at home in Farris; he was 57 years 3 months and 26 days old when he died. He was born May 24, 1881 in Collin County, (probably Farmersville) Texas to Calvin Jasper Standifer and Mary Nancy C. Watson. He was a local farmer having lived in the state for 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mary Estella Farmer, (married in Little River Co., Arkansas on November 25, 1899, she died on March 29, 1920 in Latimer Co., OK.); sons: Wilburn, John and, an unnamed son; and daughter Bessie. He leaves behind his second wife, Fannie Standifer (Carnes, married in 1932 in Atoka and later married a Blackwell-buried in Farris Cemetery.) one daughter Claudia and three sons: Jesse, Roland and Enoch. Only Enoch is still living as of December 16, 2001).

Graveside services were conducted by Rev. Gass, of Lane, on September 20, 1938 at 4 p.m. at the Farris Cemetery and he was buried there.
