I hereby make application for such share as me be due me of the fund appropriated by the Act of Congress approved June 30, 1906, in accordance with the decrees of the Court of Claims of May 18, 1905, and May 28, 1906, in favor of the Eastern Cherokees. Relative to your application for participation in the Eastern Cherokee judgement, kindly advise this office at once if your minor child, Youngbird Snell, as given in your supplemental application, was enrolled by the Dawes Commission. If so, under what name and number? Is Budd Snell and Youngbird Snell one and the same person? An early reply will be appreciated, and in answering refer to # 16987 ½ J.E. T.
