Citizenship Applications & Census Cards listed Alphabetically

Citizenship Applications & Census Cards by Number

These two indexes are the same with the exception that the image at NARA can be enlarged for better viewing, but some of the pages at AccessGenealogy are enhanced and clearer.

The index includes the names of all persons applying for compensation arising from the judgment of the United States Court of Claims on May 28, 1906, for the Eastern Cherokee tribe. While numerous individuals applied, not all the claims were allowed. The information included on the index is the application number, the name of the applicant, and the State or Territory in which the individual resided at the time the application was filed.

To order copies of these applications from NARA, you must submit a completed NATF Form 83 which includes the individual's name and application number. A separate form must be completed for each file you wish copied. To obtain an NATF Forms 83 write the National Archives, NWCTB, Old Military and Civil Records (Form 83), Washington, D.C. 20408. Do you know of others?

Do you have a copy of an application you would like to submit? There are two ways to send information, you can scan the information, or transcribe the information.

If you send a scan save it as a .gif or .jpg file only. If you transcribe the information, save it as a .doc or .txt file only.

Should you find this information useful, please remember to thank the transcriber. As always, you should obtain a copy of the document for your records and to check for transcriber errors.
