 Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth MARSHALL, II consort of B. MARSHALL who departed this life October 21, 1857, aged 56 years, (born in 1801)
 
 Above the inscription on this stone there is engraved the emblem of the Mosiac Templers of America, which was a very popular order with the colored people at that time and is found on several grave stones in the old cemeteries.
