Funeral services for Johnny SCOTT, 65, of Sallisaw were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mallory Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Billy Parker officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Mr. SCOTT was born June 22, 1934, in Sallisaw, to Claude and Okla ( WRIGHT) SCOTT. He died Friday, Jan. 14, 2000, in Sequoyah Manor Nursing Home in Sallisaw.  He was sheriff of Muskogee County during the early 1960s.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy RINEHEART of Fort Gibson; one son, Larry SCOTT of Tahlequah; three sisters, Margaret HORN, Betty SMITH and Doris TROTTER, all of Vian; three brothers, Bob SCOTT of Sallisaw, Dink SCOTT of Vian, and Danny SCOTT of Warner; four grandchildren, Lisa Jo SCOTT of Tahlequah, Johnny Heath RINEHEART of Augusta, Kan., and Jason Lee RINEHEART and Austin STACY, both of Fort Gibson; and one great-grandson, Noah RINEHEART of Augusta.
Pallbearers were Mike Bolin, Mackie Brooks, Mike Brooks, Mack Cupp, Larry Jack Horn, Dink Scott Jr., David Scott, Roger Girty, John Spencer and his brother Danny Scott.
Mr. SCOTT was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Don SCOTT and Charles SCOTT.
