ROSA STOGSDILL IS SUING FOR DIVORCE ALLEGES HUSBAND HER LOOKS WOULD MAKE
ONE CRUEL TO HER.
Mrs. Rosa Stogsdill, of 609 West Eighth street, in filing a
petition for divorce from her husband, Daniel Stogsdill, a watchman for the
Curtis & Hartside. company, alleges that her husband mistreated her in various
ways, ranging from abusive to physical violence.
She also states in the
Petition that he drove their daughter, aged 18, from home, and when she
attempted to interfere he used abusive language to her and said there was not "A
hot enough place in hell for you." Further verbatim statements alleging to have
come from her husband and directed against her were: "You are not in my mind
beautiful ...to look upon," "Your very looks would make one cruel to you."
Stogsdill conducts a hoarding home, and makes her own living. She also prays
in the petition for a restraining order preventing her husband from coming on
the premises and to prevent him from the further molestation of their daughter
Maybelle.
