DEATH CAME IN A
DRUNKEN STUPOR
SAPULPA BRICK LAYER MAY
HAVE BEEN DOPED
- WILL INVESTIGATE
Sapulpa, Okla.; July 10. (Special) Will Cristopher, a bricklayer of this city, staggered home last evening in a stupid condition and died soon after without regaining consciousness. He had been to a grocery store near his home and when he returned, had his arms full of groceries and a bottle of whiskey.
Thinking that he was merely under the influence of liquor, his wife helped him to a bed room and as soon an he was asleep she threw the bottle of whiskey away. When he failed to awake later, she became alarmed and called a physician who stated that the liquor was probably doped.
A coroners inquest will be held and an Investigation made but as the remainder of the whiskey was destroyed by his wife the evidence needed was lost.
