Compton Service Set for Monday

Services will be at 2 pm Monday in Guardian funeral home for S 2/c Sherod D. Compton. 27. of 2205 N Kate. who died of polio July 3. in San Diego. Burial will be in Sunny Lane.

Born in Newton. Ala. August 21 1920, Compton came to Norman in December 1945, while in the navy. He was married to the former Loretta Anderson of Oklahoma City.

Compton served with the navy almost four years during the war and after being out a year, he re-enlisted in October 1946.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter. Shirley Ann, and a son. Billy Dean. all of the home, and his mother, Mrs. Eva Compton. Selma. Ala.
