Harmon Hembree Sr. Surnames: Harmon
Hembree, SR. 81 passed away Nov. 23, 2000 at the I. H. S. Nursing Home in Moore, OK. after a long
illness. He was born May 26, 1919 at Tuska, OK. to James and Mary Hembree. He was a devoted father
or three sons and always had time for anyone that needed him through all of his years, if anyone
ever had problems be them family of friend, he always had time and a way to help. This must have
been part of his reason for being here on earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Ricky Gerald Hembree in Sept. 1993, and his
beloved wife of 61 years, Hazel, who passed in January of this year.
Survivors include three sons, Eldon of OKC; Elvin Leon of Del City; and Harmon Jr. and wife Sinda,
of OKC; six grandchildren, Stanton, Robbie, Bret, Blayne, Christy, and Tiffany; two sister, Jim
Bowman and Mary Jane Standifer; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Thanks to the VA Hospital, Souther Hospice, and I.H.S. of Moore. He will be missed by many for he was a great dad. He could do anything. Services will be 10:00 A. Am. Monday, November 27, 2000 at Baggerley South Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Sunny Lane Cemetery. (Baggerley South 5798 S. Western, OKC, OK). Submitted by: Dale Standifer |
