United Brethern Church Sunday School Class, 
first organized school in Wanette, Pottawatomie Co., OK.

 
The building was unfinished as shown in the picture.  They had only one stove and only the little ones could get around the stove.  They brought boxes to sit on during the first year, legs were added to the boxes and books were put in these boxes.  Photo was taken in 1903.
