Howe School House, 1940-45
Howe, LeFlore County, Oklahom

This is a picture of the #10 school house located close to Howe, Okla. This is where my father John Hickman, Jr. and his sisters, Marzee and Florence went to school. Dad only went to the 8th grade in this school and said he believed it was the last year that they used it for a school. (Abt 1940). After that it was used for a church. I believe this picture was taken about 1940-45. As you can see it already has a cross on the front of the building.
