An OKGenWeb Project

This is a picture of my Great Grandparent’s family – Platt and Ida Huston - around 1908-1909.  The back of the picture says:  Oak log house south of Meno , Oklahoma .  Ledge on west part made for drying fruit.  Velma and Lester in doorway; Floyd and Loren at corner of house.  Where Velma twirled on her toe and let the old spoon go – it hit Floyd on bridge of nose.”

My Great Grandpa Platt Huston’s name is on the Homesteader’s Monument as being one of the men who lined up to race for a 160 acre claim.

Meno is in Major County.
