Jordan Reunion, 1909
Oklahoma City, OK

“Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Jordan of 1502 East Tenth street , held a family reunion yesterday, four brothers and five sisters of the doctor assembling for an enjoyable noonday dinner.  Dr. Jordan is one of the directors of the state fair.”  Oklahoma City Times, October 9, 1909 , p. 3, column 1

and:

“Dr. and Mrs. F. M. Jordan of 1502 East Tenth street , held a family reunion yesterday, celebrating with a noonday dinner.  Four brothers and five sisters of the doctor were present and a photographer was secured to make a photograph of the group.  Dr. Jordan, who is well advanced in years, is one of the directors of the state fair.”  Daily Oklahoman, October 9, 1909 , p. 7, column 1.

Row 2—Emma (JORDAN) LOWN, Melissa Ann (JORDAN) WILMOT, Mary Elizabeth (JORDAN) LEWIS, Elsie (JORDAN) BROADWELL [Elsie (JORDAN) BROADWELL is the mother of Richard L. “Dick” BROADWELL of the DALTON Gang]
Row 3—Nancy (JORDAN) RUTHERFORD (seated).

Dr. Francis Marion “FM” Jordan was a leading Oklahoma physician and 89er.  Dick Broadwell was also an 89er (as well as a noted “highwayman,” the occupation given on his death certificate).  FM Jordan and two sisters, Emma Lown and Elsie Broadwell are all buried in Fairlawn Cemetery in Oklahoma City .
