Funeral services for Dewey Edmond DUTY, 82, of Tulsa, formerly of Akins community were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2001 at the Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook with Rev. Dale Nelson officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven Cemetery of Sperry, under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral home of Skiatook. Mr. DUTY died Thursday, May 31, 2001, in Tulsa. He was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Akins community to  James and Benetta (TOWNSEND) DUTY. Survivors include his wife, Viola of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruby and her husband, Jerry, Donna and her husband, Chris and Brenda and her husband bob; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edmond and his wife, Judith and Larry and his wife Mia; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter; infant granddaughter; one grandson; one grandson-in-law; one sister; and seven brothers.

Funeral services for Jackie L. JONES, 54, of Cameron, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Grace Manor Chapel in Poteau with Revs. Jackie Edwards and Ronnie Robertson officiating. Burial was in the White Bluff Cemetery of Bonanza, Ark., under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Mr. JONES died Monday, June 25, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born February 17, 1947 in Fort Smith to William J. and Lillian (STOCKDALE) JONES. Survivors include two sons, Jerry and Christopher; two daughters, Amanda and Cindy;six sisters, Agnes, Billy, Barbara, Mary, Opal, and Linda; and two brothers, Paul Edward and Marvin Rice. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Rev. Raymond JOHNSON, 74, of Lavaca, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Lewis Funeral Home Chapel of Lavaca. Burial was in the Oak Cemetery south of Lavaca, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Lavaca. Mr. JOHNSON died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, in his home. Survivors include his wife, Adell JOHNSON of the home; two daughters, Wilma and Marilyn; three sons, Arlen, Calvin and Kenneth; one brother, Myrel; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Billy Jack TAYLOR, an infant, of Muldrow were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Belfonte Baptist Church, with Rev. Martin Cochran officiating. Burial was in Belfonte Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He died Tuesday, june 26, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born June 26, 2001, in Fort Smith to Irene TAYLOR. Survivors include his mother, Irene of the home; one sister, Twana; grandparents, Ben and Loren; maternal grandmother, Betsy; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by great-grandparents, Jim and Sarah TAYLOR and Jim SEVENSTAR.

Funeral services for Josephine Bruton UNDERWOOD, of Fort Smith, Ark. are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Methodist Village Center Chapel in Muldrow with burial in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mrs. UNDERWOOD died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, in a local hospital. Survivors include several cousins, Don, Margie, Michael D., and Micah and Shana.

Funeral services for Venita Margaret DAVIS, 78, of Gore were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Blackgum with Rev. Dale Ritter officiating. Burial was in Box Cemetery north of Vian under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. DAVIS was born March 21, 1923, in Alton, Ill., to Joseph BAKER and Janet KIMBRO BAKER. She died Saturday, June 30, 2001, in Tulsa. She married Raymond Lee "Red" DAVIS on January 5, 1995, in Kelso, Wash. Survivors include her husband, Raymond "Red" DAVIS of the home; two daughters, Barbara and Debbie; one son, Bill; three step-sons, Clarence, Larry, and Ronnie; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Juanita.

Funeral services for Fern Beatrice GOSVENER, 88,  of Owasso were held at 1  p.m. Tuesday at the Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Revs. Kevin Stewart and Paul Simpson officiating. Burial was in Warner Memorial Cemetery in Warner, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. GOSVENER was born February 10, 1913, in Muskogee County near the Canadian River South of Webbers Falls, to John Chapman and Frances Victoria (BELCHER) CHAPMAN. She died Sunday, July 1, 2001, in Owasso.She married Clarence GOSVENER on October 10, 1931, in Muskogee. Survivors include three sons, James Ernest, Charles Clifford and Clarence Gene; two daughters, Leveda and Scottie Ann; two sisters, Dimples and Prudy; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. GOSVENER was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence GOSVENER on May 4, 1993.

Funeral services for Wes HAYS, 24, of San Antonio, Texas, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2001 at Carroll Christian Fellowship in Southlake, Texas, with burial in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, Texas, under the direction of Martin Thompson Funeral Home of Grapevine, Texas. Mr. HAYS died Saturday, June 30, 2001, in Denton Texas. He was born April 19, 1977 in Fort Smith, Ark., to Daryl and Susan HAYS. Survivors include his mother, Susan HAYS; his father, Daryl HAYS  and his wife Angie; one sister, Jessica ; one brother, Sean; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Charlene; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Edith; grandmother, Bonnie; great-grandmother, Dessie; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services for Cecil J. HOBBS Sr., 74, of Fort Smith, Ark. were  held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Roselawn Cemetery in Pine Bluff, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. HOBBS was born June 8, 1927. He died June 29, 2001, in Muldrow. Survivors include his wife, Rusty HOBBS; three daughters, Lynne, Linda and Lisa; one son, C.J.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Billy and Caldwell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lois HOBBS; two brothers, Gene HOBBS and Fred HOBBS; two sisters, Floy EUSIPPI and Joe Ree ARRELLANEO; and one great-grandson, Zachary THOMAS.

Graveside services for Sydnee Danielle HORSECHIEF, an infant, of Tahlequah were held at 11 a.m. Monday, at McCoy Cemetery in Sequoyah County, under the direction of Green Country Funeral home of Tahlequah. She was born June 15, 2001 in Tahlequah to David Christian and Lena Mae ACKER HORSECHIEF.  She died Thursday, June 28, 2001, in Tahlequah. Survivors include her parents, Lena M. and David C. HORSECHIEF, two brothers, Corrigan Christian and Garrett David; paternal grandmother, Mary ; maternal grandmother, Betty; paternal great-grandmother, Velma Ruth; maternal great-grandfather, Chester; aunts and uncles, Sam and Debra, Daniel and Tina, Jim and Mary, Virginia, Jean Diana, Mary and roy, Martha and Richard; cousins, Solomon and Sade, Paige, Tsali, Tiffany, Bayle and Tyler and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Herman ACKER; maternal great-grandmother, Mattie DRUM; paternal grandfather, Sam HORSECHIEF Sr.; paternal great-grandfather, Wathall Corrigan ADAIR; and one cousin, Walisa HENDERSON.

Graveside services for Rickey Lee SIZEMORE, 45, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at McCoy Cemetery near Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born January 18, 1956 in Sallisaw to Billy youl SIZEMORE and Shirley BURNS SIZEMORE STEELEY. He died Saturday, June 30, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mr. SIZEMORE married Shirley Jean VICKERY SIZEMORE on May 2, 1997, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Windie and Elizabeth; one son, Rickey Lee Jr.; four grandchildren; mother and step-father, Shirley and George STEELEY; father Bill SIZEMORE; one sister, Lisa; seven brother, Larry, Terry, Randy, Jerry, Jason, Michael, and David; paternal grandmother Faye. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean SIZEMORE  on January 11, 2000.

Burial is in Lee's Chapel Cemetery south of Muldrow, under the direction of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr. ANDERSON was born July 27, 1923 in Redland, to Buen HAMBY and Rebecca Frances "Fannie" MOORE HAMBY. He died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Shirley ANDERSON on October 30, 1948. She preceded him in death on May 14, 1999. Survivors include three daughters, Geneva, Jan, and Patricia; one son, Jerome; four grandchildren; one great-grandson; his mother, Rebecca "Fannie; six brothers, Otis, R.D. Alvie, Eldon, Teddy and Harold; and one aunt, Bernice.

Funeral services for Roy E. BARNES, 83,  of Webbers Falls are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Assembly of God Church in Webbers Falls, with Rev. Jack Blackwell officiating. Burial was in Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls, under the direction of Millsap Funeral sErvice of Webbers Falls. Mr. BARNES was born March 21, 1918, in Webbers Falls to Samuel Brown BARNES and Arizona (EVANS) BARNES. He died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Muskogee. Mr. BARNES married Dorothy BLACKWELL on August 28, 1948 in Alma, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy BARNES of the home; three daughters, Dorothy and her husband, Tony; Judy and her husband J.R., and Debbera; one son, Roy Lee and his wife, Kim; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents; ten brothers and ten sisters.  

Funeral services for Lula CAIN, 80, of Muldrow, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark., with burial was  in Hall Cemetery near Natural Dam, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mrs. CAIN died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in a local hospital. Survivors include her husband, Wiley William CAIN; two daughters, Donna and Carol; three sons, Jimmy, Rogers and Darrell; one sisters, Mary Lee; one brother, James; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Christine SMALL; two brothers, J. C. and Harry SMALL; and one grandson, Steven FADDIS.

Funeral services for Eva CHAPMAN, 94, of Muldrow were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Cottonwood Freewill Baptist Church south of Muldrow, with Revs. Al Ruckman and Jimmy Waldrop officiating. Burial was in Cottonwood Cemetery south of Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. CHAPMAN was born April 21, 1907, in Hayworth, to Asbert BURNS and Fannie TOOL BURNS. She died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Clarence Gilbert CHAPMAN on March 22, 1925, in Hayworth. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1976. Survivors include three daughters, Virginia, Laura Mae and Inez; one son, James; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jess; and several other relatives and other friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Tressie MURRAY; and one son, Ray CHAPMAN.

Funeral services for Robert W. HARMON, 74, of Fort Smith, Ark. were held at 12 noon Friday at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Fort Smith with burial in U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. HARMON died Monday, July 2, 2001, in Fort Smith. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah, Charlotte and Suzanne H.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold  and Elvin.

Graveside services for Lillie Mae LESSLEY HUFF, of Sallisaw were held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Akins Cemetery in Sequoyah County with Rev. Monroe Lowrimore officiating, under the direction of  Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born March 18, 1906 in Sallisaw to Thomas LESSLEY and Fannie HARRELL LESSLEY. She died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mrs. HUFF married Richard HUFF on May 7, 1922.  Survivors include one daughter, Virginia; one son, Garland; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Tommy; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard HUFF and one son, James "Book" HUFF.

Funeral services for Clarence McCLURE, 85, of  Van Buren, Ark. are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial in Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. Mr. McCLURE died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in his home. Survivors include three sons, Dennis, Darrell Jan and Ricky; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles and Lawrence. Mr. McCLURE was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine McCLURE  and one son, David John McCLURE.

Burial is in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home in Sallisaw. Mrs. RIDER was born July 12, 1956, in Vian to David L. "Pete" RIDER and Gladys  Virginia McCONNELL RIDER. She died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Jennifer; one step-daughter, Amber; three grandchildren; one brother, Jerry; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Mrs. RIDER was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Cindi BROCKMAN.

Burial is in New Cemetery in Mulberry, under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, Ark. Mrs. SUMNER died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in a local hospital. Survivors include her husband, Clinton SUMNER of the home; one daughter, Linda; one son, Gary; three grandchildren; and five sisters, twin sister, Ruth, Mattie, Juanita, Mary and Shirley; two brothers, Jimmy and Rex.

Funeral services for Rusty Dale WILSON WINTON, 16,  of Fort Smith will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the McConnell Funeral home Chapel in Greenwood, Ark., with burial in Dawson Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Mr. WINTON died Thursday, july 5, 2001, in Fort Smith hospital. Survivors include his parents, Roger and Jackie WINTON of the home; paternal grandmother, Josephine; paternal grandfather, James; paternal great-grandmother, Alice; and several aunts and uncles.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral home in Sallisaw. Mrs. ALLEN was born February 22, 1904, in Fackler, Ala. to William OWENS and Avis (ATKERSON) OWENS. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in Sallisaw. She married John ALLEN on May 27, 1921, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on November 9, 1969. Survivors include two daughters, Marie and Eva; one son, Boyd; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. ALLEN was also preceded in death by one son, Loyd Junior ALLEN on July 17, 1994.

Burial was in Roland City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mr.BEATY was born April 15, 1931, in Cavanaugh, Ark., to Clyde Allen BEATY and Mary Beatrice CLARK BEATY. He died Friday, July 6, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mr. BEATY married Alta Mae CHERRY on December 24, 1948, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Alta Mae BEATY  of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Frank;  two sons and daughters-in-law, Clyde and Loretta, and Wally and Vicki; seven granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and one brother and sister-in-law, Art and Mary. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don BEATY and Wallace BEATY.

FORD, 87, of Sallisaw were held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2001, at the Fairview Cemetery near Panama, with Dr. Lee Woodward officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. FORD was born April 13, 1914, in Porum, to John Thomas McLELLAN and Lavonia STEWART McLELLAN. She died Friday, July 6, 2001, in Sallisaw. Survivors include three nieces, Hazel, Frances and Myrle; several great-nieces; and nephews; cousins; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by  her parents; seven brothers; and three sisters.

Burial was in Cramp Cemetery in porum, under the direction of Millsap Funeal Services of webbers Falls. Mrs. GIRTY was born January 3, 1967, in Tahlequah to George GIRTY and Thelma (DAVENPORT) GIRTY. She died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, in Muskogee. Survivors include her children, Kenneth A., Jennifer D., and Emily I.; her mother, Thelma GIRTY; her father, George GIRTY; six brothers, Albert, Jimmy, Lester, Larry, Billy and Mitchell; six sisters, Georgia, Doree, Donna, Tammy, Kimberly and  Rachel; her grandmother, Leda; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles; and one great-niece. She was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley BOGGS.

Jim Henson officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born February 8, 1924, in Stilwell to William SOAP and Rosie COOKINGHEAD SOAP. She died Saturday, July 7, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mrs. KING married Lester O'Neal KING on October 18, 1958, in Little Rock, Ark. He preceded her in death on August 24, 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon and Judy; one son,  Vincent Hoyle; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Louella and Billie Marie.

Burial is in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. PARSON was born on April 27, 1928, in Searcy, Ark. to Oran G. HANNINGS and Margaret L. COOPER HANNINGS. She died Monday, July 9, 2001, in Sallisaw. Mrs. PARSONS married David Soloman PARSONS on December 23, 1942, in Searcy. Survivors include her husband, David PARSONS of the home; two daughters, Julie Carolyn and Lori Ann; one son, David Jr.; six grandchiuldren; two sisters, Lois, and Fern; one brother, Tommy; one cousin, Paul; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Talice YOULONDIA SHELTON, 56,  of Alma, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Ocker Funeral Home Chapel in Alma. Burial was in Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. Mrs. SHELTON died Thursday, July 5, 2001, in a local hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Latana and April ; one son, Steve; five grandchildren; four sisters, Loveta, Londa, Darlene and Anita; six brothers, Gary, Greg, Mark, Paul, David and Nathan.

Mrs. BLAYLOCK was born Aug. 16, 1910, in Gans, to Henry SHACKLEFORD and Myrtle (LANGFORD) SHACKLEFORD. She died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, in Muldrow. Mrs. BLAYLOCK married Bruce Condren BLAYLOCK on Nov. 26, 1932, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death Aug. 1, 1993. Survivors include one daughter, Jean Anne; two sons, Jerald and Stanley; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Collins; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Ruth HARRIS, 87, of Vian, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Burial is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HARRIS was born March 15, 1914, in Tishomingo to Milton Joseph JESTER and Susie Elizabeth (LINDLEY) JESTER. She died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Clyde HARRIS on July 15, 1936, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1975. Survivors include one daughter, Shirley June and husband Harold; two sons, Kenneth Clyde and wife Marcy, and Charles Roscoe; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Neva  and Marvis; and one brother, Thomas Eugene. Mrs. HARRIS was preceded in death by one son, Johnny HARRIS.

Funeral services for Daniel Christopher LANE, 25, of Poteau were held at 1 p.m. Friday, at the Mallory Chapel in Spiro, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro. Mr. LANE was born February 2, 1976, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Daniel Richard LANE and Paula Ann (WILSON) LANE. He died Tuesday, July 10, 2001, in Pocola.  Survivors include his wife, Alicia Someko (HARTWIG) LANE of the home; his parents, Daniel and Paula LANE; three sisters, Theresa and her husband Phillip, Penelope and her husband, Brendon and Sarah and her husband Kyle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Burial is in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory Fuenral Home in Spiro. Mrs. SAUNDERS was born June 12, 1923, in Wabash, Ind. , to Samuel Napolian RHOADES and June Lucille (HODSON) RHOADES. She died Wednesday, July 11, 2001, in Fort Smith, Ark. She died Sunday, July 15, 2001, in Sallisaw. She married Willie Jesse BARNES one January 27, 1934, in Marble City. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1985. Survivors include one daugbhter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Olen; two granddaughters; five great-grandsons; two sisters, Maggie and Wilma; three brothers, Gerald, Tom and Ben.  Mrs. BARNES  was also preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Richard JOHNSON; four sister, Margaret POINDEXTER, Eva PEWITT, Virgie KILMER and Ruth TOWNSEND; three brothers, Andy, Raymond and William POINDEXTER.

Funeral services for Eules Clyde CARTER, 82, of Sulpur, formerly of gore, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Vinita Avenue Church of Christ, with revs. Dan Clark and John Shackelford officiating. Burial was in Drake Cemetery, under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur. Mr. Carter was born October 18, 1918 in Gore, to Elpha CARTER and Minnie Lafayette CARTER. He died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in Sulphur..Mr. CARTER married Opal Mae THOMISON on December 23, 1950, in Little Rock, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Opal Mae of the home; one daughter, Glenda Kay; four sons, Dwight Richard and his wife Jan, David Clyde Michael Lafayette and his wife Ladonna and William Barry and his wife Linda; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Ralph CARTER; two sisters, Colleen ANDERSON of Gore and Ellen GIBSON of Winslo, Ark.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Wayne CARTER in 1995, on sister, Ela WILSON, two brothers, Ben and Willard CARTER and his parents.

Funeral services for Brandon David MAJOR, 19, of Vian, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Blackgum Havest Time Church, north of Vian, with Revs. Chris Armer, Mike Dyer and Anthony England officiating. Burial will be in Box Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. MAJOR was born August 21, 1981, in Sallisaw, to Richard David MAJOR and Samantha (TURMAN) MAJOR. He died Thursday, July 26, 2001, in Oklahoma City of a rare Leukemia. He was a laborer for Talking Leaves Job Corp and a member of the Blackgum Harvest Time Church of Vian. Survivors include his mother, Samantha TURMAN MAJOR; his father. Richard MAJOR, Meagan and Lacey; one brother, Kyle Reese; paternal grandmother, Janet; paternal great-grandparents, John and Kathleen; maternal grandparents, Martha and Owen; aunts and uncles, Pamela and Leroy, Randall and Christina, Janeen and Richard; cousins, Shawn and Sheldon, Bronson, Natalie, Cheyenne and Randi Marie, Lindsey, Justin, Stacy and Jonathan; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Grace T. "Mam" MARTIN, 85, of Vian, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the Blackgum Baptist Church, with Revs. Dale Ritter and Garner Garrison officiating. Burial was in Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City, under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. MARTIN was born January 11, 1916, in Van Buren, Mo., to Robert Ingersol SHORT and Anna Nell (WHITWELL) SHORT. She died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in Saint Edwards mercy Hospital of Fort Smith, Ark. She married Archie MARTIN on March 18, 1932, in Muskogee. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Ann; three grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and other family and friends. Mrs. MARTIN was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Archie MARTIN, her parents, one sister and two brothers.

Funeral services for Jessie Richard MENDENHALL, 67, of Porum, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday , at the Porum First Assembly of God Church, with Revs. Ronnie Ohl, Bill Wheeler and Bobby Wright officiating. Burial was in Field Cemetery in Porum under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler. Mr. MENDENHALL was born February 8, 1934 in Porum, to Richard and Bertha (MULLINS) MENDENDALL. He died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, in Webbers Falls. Survivors include his wife, Sharyn of the home; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Jim and Janie, Jessie Wayne and Jerry ; two daughters, Darlene and Sharon; one step-son, Larry; one step-daughter, Becky, 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Dewey, Joyce and Robert and Lois and George; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Carl, Bill "Babe", Kenny and Brenda and Vernon and Judy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Bertha MENDENHALL, one daughter, Patricia, one son, Donnie, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services for W.C. "Bill" TAYLOR, 90, of Stillwater, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, at the First Baptist Church in Stillwater, with Rev. Rodney James officiating. Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Garden Cemetery, under the direction of Strode Funeral Home of Stillwater. Mr. TAYLOR was born November 19, 1910, in Maple, to Atha (ROSS) and James A. TAYLOR. He died Wednesday, July 25, 2001, in Stillwater Medical Center. Mr. TAYLOR married Reba Berniece CHEEK  in Sallisaw. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, stepmother two brothers, four sisters, three stepbrothers and one grandson, Brad DURHAM. Survivors include two daughters, Shirley  and her husband Jerry, Lanna and her husband Ken; one son, Jim and his wife Connie; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
