Graveside services for Othel C. COOK, 83, of Muldrow, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow, with the Rev. Harvey Rogers officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. He was born on Sept. 22, 1920, in Cowlington, to James Edgar COOK and Sarah (SNOW) COOK. He died on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Muldrow. He married Lorraine Zelamae MARTIN on Sept. 7, 1939, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine COOK of the home; five sons, Paul, Cletus, Othel Jr., Herschel and Laurel; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Thelma; and one brother, Harlis. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Linda DARDEN; one son, Grady COOK; and one sister, Ruby BEAGLE.

Funeral services for John W. "Dubs" DILLARD, 79, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Garland Hobbs and Royce Martin officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Sept. 24, 1924, in Milton, to James Walter DILLARD and Izora Elizabeth (ZODA) COCHRAN DILLARD. Mr. DILLARD married Shirley Colleen FRANZMEIER on July 23, 1954, in Newell, Iowa. Survivors include his wife Shirley DILLARD of the home; one daughter, Connie and Steve; four sons, Merlyn and Onna, Randy, and John and Kim, and Rod and Rhonda; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Earlene, and Imogene and Lewis; one brother, Bill and Allene; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lavada "Vey" HUDDLESTON, 78, of Roland, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Roland, with Rev. David Johnson officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Oct. 16, 1925, in Abilene, Texas, to Arch BAGLEY and Myrtle WOODS. She married Eual HUDDLESTON in 1941 in Phoenix, Ariz. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2000. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sandra; four grandchildren; one sister, Imogene; and her friend, Beth. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald HUDDLESTON; and one granddaughter, Sonny HUDDLESTON.

Funeral services for Linda Kay "Udi" KELLEY, 51, of Vian, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Vian Assembly of God Church, with the Revs. Cleatis Jones and Wendell Cox officiating. Burial is in McEver Family Cemetery northeast of Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Aug. 18, 1952, in Vian, to Glen COLLINS and Sadie (DYKES) COLLINS. She died on Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Vian. She married Maynord KELLEY on Oct.13, 1970, in Okmulgee. Survivors include her husband, Maynord KELLEY of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anita and Robert, and Candace and Billy Jack; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her parents; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marilyn and Johnny, and Beth; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Mike and Cindy, Mark and Donna, and Neal; her mother-in-law, Rose KELLEY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends, including Sharon and the Liberty staff. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Dec. 15, 1921, in Maple community, to Osa V. WOODWARD and Martha Ann (COLE) WOODWARD. She died Thursday, June 24, 2004. She married Floyd Archie LEWIS on Oct. 12, 1943, in Tulsa. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Perry Floyd and Emma Sue; two grandchildren; three sisters, Olta, Louise and Melba; one brother, Hubert D; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Buster WOODWARD.

Burial is in White Cemetery in Gore, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Gore. She was born on July 7, 1924, in Webbers Falls, to Clarence Hugh McGREW and Fannie SMITH. She died on Wednesday, June 30, 2004, in Gore. She married Jim CALLISON on Oct. 5, 1942, in Gore. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2002.  Survivors include one daughter, Donna Ruth; one son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Virginia; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Helen and Billie; and one brother, Clarence.

Graveside services for Charles Ray CAMERON Jr., 44, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jerry Copeland officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Aug. 14, 1959, in Sallisaw, to Charles Ray CAMERON Sr. and Darlene CALIFF. He died Tuesday, June 29, 2004, in Panama. Survivors include one daughter, Teva Dawn; his mother; his father; two sisters, Darla and Becky; one half-sister, Kim; one brother, Rick; two half-brothers, Will and Brad; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Gerald MADDOX, 71, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He died on Thursday, June 30, 2004, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Geraldene MADDOX; two daughters, Deb and her husband Don, and Pamela Ann; three sons, Doug and his wife Cher, and James Everett and his wife Jennifer, and Steven Vernon; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Megan Michelle BRIGGS, an infant, of Sapulpa, died June 30, 2004, in Tulsa. She was born on June 29, 2004, in Tulsa, to Roy Alan BRIGGS and Glenda Michelle KILLOUGH BRIGGS. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Megan is survived by her parents of the home; one sister, Catherine; one brother, Caleb; her grandparents, Jamie GRIFFIN, James and Judy KILLOUGH, George BRIGGS and Freda SMOCK; and several cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Alan BRIGGS.

Morgan Michelle BRIGGS, an infant, of Sapulpa, died July 3, 2004, in Tulsa. She was born on June 29, 2004, in Tulsa, to Roy Alan BRIGGS and Glenda Michelle KILLOUGH BRIGGS. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Megan is survived by her parents of the home; one sister, Catherine; one brother, Caleb; her grandparents, Jamie GRIFFIN, James and Judy KILLOUGH, George BRIGGS and Freda SMOCK; and several cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Alan BRIGGS and one sister, Megan Michelle BRIGGS.

Long-time Sallisaw businessman James Samuel JACKSON, 76, died early Monday, July 5, 2004, in a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital. Mr. JACKSON owned businesses in Sallisaw for 30 years, including Jackson's Department Store in downtown Sallisaw, which he owned and operated with his wife, Sadie, from 1970 to 1995. Mr. JACKSON was born in the Brent community, south of Sallisaw, on May 1, 1928, to James Stonewall "Jim" JACKSON and Essie Pauline HUGGINS JACKSON. He married his wife, Sadie Mae TOOTLE JACKSON, on June 19, 1957, in Stilwell. She survives. Other survivors include three daughters, Linda and her husband, Carrol, Brenda and her husband, Danny, and Deborah; one son, James Charles and his wife, Lori; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; one sister, Camilla; one brother, Lloyd; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services for Mr. JACKSON were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw. The Rev. Dr. Lee Woodard officiated. Burial followed in Brent Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Elmo POWELL, 86, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Jim Glasco and Jerry Powell officiating. Burial is in Mitchell Cemetery in east of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on July 16, 1917, in Gans, to Lige Emmitt POWELL and Ida Belle (SANDLYN) POWELL. He died on Friday, July 2, 2004, in Sallisaw. He married Pearl Mae STINSON on Dec. 11, 1937, in Gans. Survivors include his wife, Pearl POWELL of the home; one son, Elmo Wayne; three daughters, Virginia Lee, Judy Ramona and Dorothy Imogene; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Eva Jo; one brother, Quinton; and several other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Wanda Ruth SHELTON, 63, of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Maple Cemetery north of Muldrow, with the Rev. Eugene Kester officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on April 9, 1941, in Carthage, Mo., to Richard Raymond MORRIS and Dorothy Lucille MARTINDALE. She died on Sunday, July 4, 2004, in Sallisaw. Mrs. SHELTON was a former school bus driver for Sallisaw Public Schools and of the Baptist faith. She married Eddie M. SHELTON on May 2, 1998, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on May 20, 2001. Survivors include five daughters, Linda, Mary, Brenda, Nancy, and Carla; 23 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal; one brother, Richard Dale; one step-son, Mike; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Johnnie WITT, 82, of Muldrow, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. Graveside services and burial was held at 2 p.m. at Tahlequah City Cemetery, with full military honors, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. He died Sunday, July 4, 2004. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara and Susie and her husband Jerry; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Beth and her husband Al; and his longtime companion, Carol. Mr. WITT was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa WITT; and one son, Ronnie WITT.

She married Paul "Mutt" MENDENHALL on Jan. 3, 1945, in Muskogee.Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Danny Paul and Regina, and Sherman Glen and Sandy; one daughter and son-in-law, Marsha Rene and Robbie; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Velma and Patsy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one grandchild.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Nov. 20, 1954, in Sallisaw, to Roy Lee WALTERS and Perdita MILLIKIN WALTERS. He died on Wednesday, July 7, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his mother of the home; two sisters, Judy and Linda; three brothers, Maxie, Don and Jerry; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Loretta BRADSHAW.

She was born on April 5, 1938, in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., to Vaden LeRoy and Vivian Mae (HERR) HEATHMAN. She died on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kan. She married Jackie Ray BALDWIN on Nov. 15, 1957, in Miami. He preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1998. Survivors include her children and spouses, Cindy and Troy, Debbie and Clifton, Jack Lee and Kimberly; 12 grandchildren; her mother; and one brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Sue. She was also preceded in death by one son, Rick and her father.

He died on Tuesday, July 6, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his mother, Mary BRANCH; 10 children, Terri, Eudora, Willy, Bernard, Orlando, Steven, Dwyatt, Patrick, Stephen, and Clvotus; several grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie and Vera; and one brother, Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her father; and one sister, Donna RUTHERFORD.

Funeral services for Beatrice M. JOHNSON, 87, of Kansas City, Kan., formerly of Vian, are being held Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Vian, with burial in Vian Cemetery. She was born on Dec. 1, 1916, in Vian, to Willie and Mariah MAYO. She died on Friday, July 9, 2004, in her home. She married her first husband, Harold THOMPSON in Vian. Survivors include two sisters, Ada and  Opal; nephews and nieces, and several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her second husband, Fred JOHNSON; her parents; three sisters and five brothers.

Funeral services for Tom LAMB, 66, of Roland, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Muldrow, with the Rev. Randy Wade officiating. Burial will be in the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Full Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force. He was born on Dec. 25, 1937, in Washington, Ind., to Stephen LAMB and Fay (MATTINGLY) LAMB. Mr. LAMB married Rose Marie WHITE on Feb. 8, 1971, in Tucson, Ariz. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She was born on Aug. 20, 1973, in Sallisaw, to Billy Don RAPE and Dee (VanHUFFEL) RAPE. She died on Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Autumn Rae and Tia Diana; one son, Timothy Shawn; her parents; two sisters, Sheila C. and Christina Lynn; paternal grandmother, Cletus RAPE; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services for Earl RIDENS, 100, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Cemetery in Oklahoma City, with the Rev. Johnny Barris officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Feb. 27, 1904, in McMillan to Frank RIDENS and Nancy (KARR) RIDENS. He died on Monday, July 26, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two daughters, Francis and Nancy; one step-daughter, Etna; one step-son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Margie; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two wives, Priscilla BLACKWELL RIDENS and Beulah RHOADES RIDENS and one son, Earl RIDENS Jr.

Funeral services for Saxon Fink SIFFING, 86, of Muskogee, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Jim Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Music will be provided by her cousin, Mike Fink and her nephew, Lorenz Maycher.She was born on March 19, 1918, in Blackgum community, to Arch FINK and Ethel (SAXON) FINK. She died Thursday, July 22, 2004, in Tulsa. She married Vernon W. SIFFING in 1942 in Siloam Springs, Ark. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son, Terry; one granddaughter, Erin; one brother, Talmadge; two sisters, Brookie and Betty; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip.

Memorial services for Michael H. "Mike" TURNER, 45, of Tulsa, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church, under the direction of Moore's Southlawn Chapel Funeral Home of Tulsa. He was born on Jan. 13, 1959, in Plainview, Texas, to Beverly B. and Robert G. TURNER. He died on Thursday, July 22, 2004, in Tulsa.Survivors include his wife, Charyl Lynn TURNER; one son, Kellen Michael; one daughter, Gabriel Renee; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert G. Jr. and his wife, Esther, Dr. William T. and his wife Fran, and John H. and his wife Tracy; and his parents.

Funeral services for Elnora WILLIAMS, 84, of Muldrow are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow, with the Rev. Phil Smith officiating. Burial is in Memory Garden Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. She was born on Aug. 25, 1919, in Humbolt, Kan. to Francis Alonzo BROWN and Iva Mae Fox BROWN. She died on Saturday, July 24, 2004, in Roland. She married Floyd Thomas WILLIAMS on June 28, 1937, in Tulsa. He preceded her in death on May 14, 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce; three sons, Marcus, Richard and Robert; two sisters, Elsie and Luella; two brothers, Ron and Kenneth; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.She was also preceded in death by one son, Francis Martin WILLIAMS.

Graveside services for Mary A. WISELEY, 73, of Grand Lake Villa near Grove, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004 at Fairland Cemetery, under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland. She was born on March 1, 1931, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Benjamin and Lula HAMPTON BALLARD Jr. She died on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at the Grove Integris General Hospital. She married Archie Hilton WISELEY on Feb. 25, 1963. Survivors include her husband of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Tina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Dean, and Dee and Glen; and nine grandchildren.
