Funeral services for Melba PEACE JONES DENTON, 88, of Sallisaw were held at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sallisaw with the Revs. Brian Zinck and Vernon Stone officiating.  Burial was in the Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. DENTON was born July 23, 1921, in Short to Henry Lindsey PEACE and Katie Alice (BRANSON) PEACE. She died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Sallisaw. She married James Alexander DENTON Dec. 28, 1973, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include, four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ewell, Margaret and Richard, Linda and David , and Betty and Ronny; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister Blanche; and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Russell JONES, her parents, three sisters, Mavis MORTON, Katie PARRIS and Margaraet PEACE and one brother, H.L. PEACE Jr.

Funeral services for Rickey Joe FOGG, 51, of Bunch were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev. John Flute officiating. Burial was in Flute Springs Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. FOGG was born on Jan. 3, 1958, in Tahlequah to Richard and Sarah (FLUTE) FOGG. He died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include, his wife, Brenda of the home; his mother, of the home; two sisters, JoAnn and Jeannie; one brother, George; three step-daughters, Jennifer and her husband, Stone, and Vanessa and her husband, and Nikki and Jake; nine grandchildren; three nephews; one great-nephew; two special nieces; and a special friend, Calvin. He was preceded in death by his father, one brother Leroy “Moon” FOGG and one sister, Vanessa “Tessa” FOGG.

Graveside services for Lueanor Hope HALL, 82, of Sallisaw were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. HALL was born on May 21, 1927, in Chicago, Ill., to Lum ELLIOTT and Eleanor ELLIOTT. She died on Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Robert Virgil HALL on Oct. 11, 1946, in Chicago. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2002, in Sallisaw. Survivors include, two daughters, Roberta and Louella; six grandsons; one granddaughter; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy and Glenda; and three brothers, Ronnie, Arnold and Marshal. He was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.

Funeral services for Mary Magaline McGARRAH, 83, of Vian were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with the Revs. M.D. Alverson and Thomas Alverson officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. McGARRAH was born on March 28, 1926 in Stilwell to Thomas ALVERSON and Ellie Mae (BONDS) ALVERSON. She died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Vian. Survivors include three daughters, Rose, Ellen, and Carolyn; six sons, Orville, James, Johnny, Willis, Ray and J.J.; four sisters, Hazel, Peggy, Barbara and Edna; two brothers, M.D. and Buster; two step-brothers, Marvin and Buster; 43 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cecil McGARRAH, a son, Tommy McGARRAH and three brothers, Pete, Cecil and Kize ALVERSON.

Funeral services for Margaret SHELBY, 79, of Webbers Falls, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Webbers Falls with the Rev. Wendell Cox officiating.  Burial was in the Vaught Cemetery in Webbers Falls under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. Mrs. SHELBY was born on Dec. 12, 1930, in Buckhorn, to Heck FLETCHER and Elsie Tilda (MORSE) FLETCHER. She died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, in Gore. She married Bob SHELBY on Nov. 12, 1948, in Arkansas. Survivors include, her husband Bob of the home; two children, Linda and her husband, Jim, and Rick and his wife, Peggy; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Joe and his wife, Lisa; one sister, Laverne and her husband, Gordon; and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dave FLETCHER, sisters, Audrey HUGGINS and Lorene MELTON and great-grandson, Adin SHELBY. 

Services for Charles Bruce SMITH Jr., 62, of Muldrow are being held at 12:30 ;m Thursday at Evans Chapel of Memories at Poteau with Bro Terry Hurt officiating, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau. Interment is at 2 p m in the Fort Smith National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. Mr. SMITH was born on August 21, 1947, in Helena, Ark. He died on Jan 1, 2010, in Muldrow. Survivors include two daughters, Joanie and Carol; three sons, Jeremy, Joseph, and Charlie; two stepsons, Steven, and Bryan; a stepdaughter, Tina; 18 grandchildren; a sister, Brenda; his father, Charles B Sr.; numerous other relatives and loved ones and a host of beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dina SMITH, his brother, Earl SMITH and his mother, Edna Earl (SANDERS) SMITH.

Funeral services for Floyd Calvin SPEARS Sr., 68, of Gore were held at 2 pm Monday, at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev Wayne Rice officiating. Burial was in White Cemetery in Gore, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. SPEARS was born June 4,1941, in Braggs to Louis Osval SPEARS and Melvia Junie (MANNON) SPEARS. He died Wednesday, Dec 30, 2009, in Gore. He married Nola C NUTT, Jan 8, 2007, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife Nola SPEARS of the home; one daughter, Kimberly and her companion, Justin; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Floyd “Podgey” Jr , and Eric and Tina; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy, Betty, Kathy JOHNSON of Braggs and Linda MARLOW of Webbers Falls; and four brothers, Orvill, Delbert and Gerald. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Amanda BATSON and Susan F SPEARS , one brother, Donald SPEARS and two sisters, Mary and Louise SPEARS.

Burial was in Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. BREWER was born on Oct. 27, 1939 in Brushy to Harley Truman BREWER and Lillie Bell (HINES) BREWER. He died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Maxine CHANDLER May 4, 1974, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Maxine BREWER of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and David, and Kathy and Steve; one son, John; four grandchildren; one brother, Troy; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Marvin and Donald BREWER.

Funeral services for Ann Loretta CROSBY, 83, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p m Saturday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev Jerry Green officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Burial was at Drake stand Cemetery in Sallisaw. Mrs. CROSBY was born on July 10, 1926, in Stonewall, to Bill Oliver CATHEY and Irretta CAGLE. She died on Jan 2, 2010, in Sallisaw. She married Harley Eugene CROSBY on Sept 10, 1974, in Juarez, Mexico. Survivors include her husband, Harley, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford Gregory, and Diane, and Christopher Cagle and Marsha; one step-son and his wife, Tommy Ray and Rhonda; one step- daughter, Punkie Michelle; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford GARTRELL; her parents; one brother, Johnny J W CATHEY; and one step=daughter, Carolyn Sue CROSBY.

Funeral services for James Lewis CROW, 72, of Hominy were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw with Bro. Stanley Cottrell officiating. Burial was in the Buffington Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. CROW was born on Aug. 5, 1937, in Sallisaw to W.R. Pete CROW and Leba (KINSEY) CROW. He died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2009, in Hominy. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeri, and Jamie and James; four grandchildren; two aunts, Clara Opal and Beatrice Boots; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services for Margie Maxine HOWELL, 86, of Roland were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Agent Chapel in Muldrow with Sis. Sheila Jones officiating. Burial was in the Maple Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. Mrs. HOWELL was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Muldrow to William Harvey WOODWARD and Lillie (SPENCER) WOODWARD. She died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, in Roland. She married Walton Glenn HOWELL Aug. 21, 1946, in Fort Smith, Ark. He preceded her in death Sept. 28, 1994, in Sallisaw. Survivors include, one daughter and son-in-law, Dixie and William; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel.  She was also preceded in death by one son, Rickey Glenn HOWELL, her parents, one sister, Artie COLE and two brothers, Harvey and Everett WOODWARD.

Funeral services for Emma Sue LOCKHART, 83, of Sallisaw, will be held at 12 p.m. Friday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Bro Greg Burnsed officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. LOCKHART was born on Jan 9, 1926, in Hanson to Toy Lee KING and Susie Lee (SIMMONS) KING. She died on Jan 5, 2010, in North Little Rock Ar. She married Sam Calvin LOCKHART on March 1, 1974, in Stilwell. Survivors include her husband, Sam, of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon Jeanelle and Marion, and Linda; one son Sammy; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Mike RUDICK, her first Husband, Warren RUDICK, and her parents.

Mr.SEQUICHIE was born on July 31, 1950, in Tahlequah, to Levi and Edna Lee (BLAYLOCK) SEQUICHIE. He died on Jan 4, 2010 in Sallisaw. . Survivors include one son, Levi; three sisters, Linda, Louise, and Doris; two brothers, Joe and Archie; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services for Carol Joyce SHARP, 77, of Sallisaw, will be held at 2 p m Friday at Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. SHARP was born on May 4, 1932, in Bazine, Kan., to Otis FRAZIER and Lillian (BURCH) FRAZIER. She died on Jan 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her life partner. Lonnie, three daughters, Mary Lynn, Aphion, and Dorothy; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters Dorothy, and Lois. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Stephanie Ann LOFLAND; her parents; and two brothers, Robert and Richard FRAZIER.

Burial was at Box Cemetery in Vian. Mrs. ELMORE was born on May 6, 1926, in Elmore City, to Charles Henry and Bertha RUSSELL NORTH. She died on Jan 4, 2010, in Vian. She married Ivan LeRoy ELMORE on Oct 2, 1954, in Coffeyville, Kan. He preceded her in death on Dec 15, 1997, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include three daughters, Sandra, Dawn, and Sue; two sons, Ivan “Buddy” and David LeRoy; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Evelyn, Charlene and Betty; one brother Gerald; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Burial is in Seabolt Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland. Mr. KEEN was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Nicut to Jasper Lee KEEN and Josie Mae (RIDDLE) KEEN. He died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark.  He married Jettie Ruth ROBINSON on Feb. 13, 1993, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Jettie KEEN of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny Lee and Debbie; one step-daughter, Debie; three grandchildren; one brother, Bob and his wife, Pat; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jennie KEEN, his parents and one brother, Eugene KEEN.

Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born April 28, 1911 in Stigler to A T RANDOLPH and Mollie HARRELL RANDOLPH. He died Jan 6, 2010 in Sallisaw. He was married to Opal Kathleen MATLOCK on December 26, 1931 in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on March 27, 2005. Survivors include:one daughter and son in law: Joyce and Ken; two sons: Boyce and Donald; one sister: Emma; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends, He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister: Geneva ORENDORFF and two brothers: Silas and Jack RANDOLPH.

Mrs. CALDWELL was born on July 1, 1924, in Tamaha to John Oscar WATERS and Nellie (JACKSON) WATERS. She died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, in Sallisaw. She married the Rev. Lee “Sonny” CALDWELL on July 30, 1940, in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2002, in Tahlequah. Survivors include, two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathy and Butch, and Rosa; four grandchildren and their spouses; three great-grandchildren; three sisters one brother-in-law, Jauneve and Emil, Treva and Dorothy; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Aaron, and Howard and Joann; and one brother-in-law, Herbert and his wife, Barbara. Mr. EAGLE was born on Jan 28, 1973, in Tahlequah, to Richard and Lydia (BYRD) EAGLE. He died on Jan 9, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his mother, Lydia, of the home; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Brenda, Barbara, and Lyna and Shone; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Marcella, Jimmy and Tracy, and Mike and Marsha; and several other relatives and friends. He died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Tonya Renee WRIGHT on June 24, 2006, in Fort Smith. Survivors include, his wife, Tonya FLEETWOOD of the home; two sons, Glenn II and Kyle; two daughters, Tasha and Mackenzie; two step-children, Brittnee and Tyler; four sisters, Lisa, Amanda, Jennifer and Tammy; and his parents. She married Oral Edward HORTON on March 31, 1950 in Sand Springs. She died January 6, 2010 in Tulsa. Burial is in Box Cemetery under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. PACK was born on March 2, 1915, in Summerfield to Joseph P. DANIEL and Evalena (EDWARDS) DANIEL. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2010, in Tulsa.    She married Charley B. PACK on Sept. 2, 1933, at Chickasha. He preceded her in death. Survivors include one sister, Bernice; her children, Billy Wayne and his wife, Sue, Charles Aaron and his wife, Deborah, and Sandra Kay (PACK) and her husband, Jerry; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends as well as her loyal dog, Lady. She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Marcus, Roy, Austin, Henry, Ora and Bessie, grandson Jerry Gregory WALTERS, twin granddaughters, Angela and Amanda PACK and great-grandson, David JENKINS. .

Mr PHILPOT was born on Sept 2, 1953, in Delano, Calif., to Wesley Doyal and Jewell Dean (ISHAM) PHILPOT. He died on Jan 11, 2010, in Tulsa. Survivors include his father of the home and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends. He was precdeded in death by his mother.

He died on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010 in Fort Smith, Ark.  He married Nadine WOODWARD on Jan 11, 1966, in Akins. Survivors include his wife, Nadine SHARP of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Brad; four sons and one daughter-in-law, Ricky Don, Mike, Bobby, and Donald and Lisa; one sister, Sue; three brothers, Roger, Rick, and Gary; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildrenn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Burial was in Box Cemetery under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home of Tahlequah. Mrs. SPENCER was born June 15, 1940 in Sallisaw to Owen Sylvester LEE and Della (RAY) LEE. She died Friday, Jan. 8, 2010. She married Norman SPENCER on Dec. 26, 1958, in Stigler. She married Joe Allen TATE on Sept. 5, 1949, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death on Nov. 3, 2008, in Muldrow. He married Audra Eulata WALLACE on Jan. 1, 1937, in Hanson. Judy RUTLEDGE MONTGOMERY, 66, of Sallisaw died on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. MONTGOMERY was born on Nov. 28, 1943, in Stilwell to John BATT and Vera (KEYS) BATT AUFFET. She married Gary Kerr MONTGOMERY in November 1976, in Siloam Springs, Ark. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2009, in Tulsa. Survivors include two sons, Lance and Dennis; four grandchildren; one grandchild; two sisters, Linda and Kathy; three brothers, Ronnie, Stephen and Johnny; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He married Echo GARVIN on July 3, 1947, in Fort Smith. Survivors include, his wife, Echo of the home; one son, Jason; one grandson; four sisters, Maxine, Mary C., Ruth and Lillian; and several other nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

She died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010, in Sallisaw. She married Ralph Crockett LEWIS on May 19, 1947, in Roswell, N.M. He preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2003, in Fort Smith, Ark.
