Funeral services for Warren HARRIS Jr., 49, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith. Burial is in Steep Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith. Mr. HARRIS was born Jan. 14, 1960, in Fort Smith, to Warren HARRIS Sr. of Bokoshe and Jimmie HARRIS of Vian. He died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his parents; two sons, Thomas and Lance; Tammie; and cousin, Christy.

Funeral services for Verdia JETT, 92, of Waldron, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Waldron Pentecostal Church of God with the Revs. Rickey Hunt and Kenton Rowe officiating. Burial was in Duncan Cemetery, under the direction of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home of Waldron. Mrs. JETT was born Dec. 11, 1916, to Jess and Jossie WAGNER. She died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009, in Waldron. Survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Josephine and J.T. and Varlene and Terrel; two grandsons; three granddaughters; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester JETT, parents, three brothers, Theo, Dale and Herschal WAGNER.

Graveside services for Bernice OWEN, 91, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Akins Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, with the Rev. Vernon Stone officiating, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. OWEN was born May 25, 1917, in Sequoyah county, to Joe “Dutch” WHITWORTH and Sarah Catherine (STRICKLAN) WHITWORTH. She died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Fort Smith. She married Artho Douglas OWEN, Sept. 30, 1947, in Fort Smith. He preceded her in death, March 6, 1999, in Sallisaw. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy; one sister, Norma; two brothers, Kenneth and George; 12 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Samuel Ethan OWEN II, her parents, one brother and four sisters.

Funeral services for Floyd Wesley “Buddy” TRISLER, 79, of Paris, Ark., were held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Paris. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, in Paris, under the direction of Roller Funeral Home of Paris. Mr. Trisler was born Oct. 31, 1929, in Fort Smith, Ark., to E.E. and Mary E. (CALDWELL) TRISLER. He died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Vera (Butler) TRISLER; three daughters, Evelyn Ruthie and her husband, Bill, Mary Louise, and Betty Ann and her husband, Danny; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rubie and Mary Sue and her husband, J.W.; two brothers, John Bobby and his wife, Glenda, and Bill. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy TRISLER, infant sister, Wanda May TRISLER, infant granddaughter, Amber MACKEY and son-in-law Herbert HOWARD.

Funeral services for Enoch D. TUCKER, 87, of Fort Smith, Ark., are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith. Burial is in Old Union Cemetery, near Magazine, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. TUCKER died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of the home; three sons, Ronald G., Douglas E. and Daniel W.; one sister, Lorene; two brothers, Willie M. and David E.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, David Monroe TUCKER and Ethel Elizabeth (CARTER) TUCKER and one brother, Clarence TUCKER.

Graveside services for Beverly BAUGH TURNER, 79, formerly of Sallisaw, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, under the direction of Moore Funeral Homes, Inc. of Owasso. Mrs. Turner was born July 11, 1929, in Oklahoma City, to Howard and Mildred (DAILEY) BAUGH. She died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009. Survivors include her husband, Bob of the home; three sons, Robert G. Jr., William T. and John H. ; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Margaret Sue GRAHAM, 59, of Sallisaw, died on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. GRAHAM was born Oct. 15, 1949, in Little Rock, Ark., to Earl GENTRY and Sara (CHWALINSKI) GENTRY. Survivors include one son, Troy; one sister, Ann; mother, Sara NICHOLS; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, one son, Terry SMITH and one brother, Jimmie GENTRY.

Funeral services for Andy IRVIN, 50, of Muldrow, are being held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Park, including a Masonic Graveside Service, in Fort Smith, Ark., under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith. Mr. IRVIN died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Leisa IRVIN of Muldrow; one daughter, Rachel Leigh; one son, Galen Anderson; parents, Anderson and Ella IRVIN; and one sister, Carlotta.

Milton D. MARTIN, 64, of Sallisaw, died on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, in Sallisaw. No formal service is planned and cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. MARTIN was born May 26, 1944, in Muskogee, to Wilbert David MARTIN and Virginia (MILLER) MARTIN. Survivors include two sons, David and Michael David; four sisters, Marsha, Gloria and her husband, Paul, Suzanne and her husband, Robert, and Jody; three brothers, Eddie and his wife, Malinda, Raymond, and Jimmy; and two grandchildren of Orland. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth MARTIN, parents, one brother, Jack MARTIN and one sister, Elizabeth MARTIN.

Funeral services for Joy A. ODOM, 69, of Poteau, are being held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Gospel Tabernable in Poteau with the Revs. Sonny Daniels and Carl Daniels officiating. Burial is in Ellis Chapel Cemetery, in Wister, under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Mrs. ODOM was born Nov. 14, 1939, in Albion. She died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Vonda and Carla; two sons, Keith and Trent; two brothers, Carl and Danny; sister, Diannah; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl D. ODOM, her parents, James and Alta MILLER, her grandson, Carlton Trent ODOM and two nephews, Earl MILLER and Carl MILLER Jr.

A private family service was held for Doyle C. TRANTHAM, 71, of Cedarville, Ark.  Cremation was under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. TRANTHAM was born Dec. 29, 1937, in Purcell, to Bill TRANTHAM and Emma Isabell TRANTHAM. He died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in Fayetteville, Ark. He married Ruby N. DRAKE, Dec. 29, 1967, in Tijuana, Mexico. Survivors include his wife, Ruby of the home; one daughter, Connie; one son, Cliff; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley; two brothers, Richard and Donald; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Dee WEST and his parents.

Funeral services for Linda WATTS, 57, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Akins Assembly of God Church with the Revs. Monroe Lowrimore and Steve Connelly officiating. Burial was in Peters Cemetery, northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. WATTS was born May 8, 1951, in Stilwell, to Floyd McClelan RHOADES and Beatrice (WILLIAMS) RHOADES. She died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, in Sallisaw. She married Ed WATTS, April 3, 1971, in Fort Smith, Ark Survivors include her husband, Ed of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Julie and Mike, and Debra; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Elizabeth, Nathan, and Eric and Terri; 17 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Fred; one brother, Jimmy; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one sister, Betty CHOATE.

Burial is in Fleetwood Cemetery, in Sallisaw, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel of Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. CUMMINGS was born May 1, 1934, in Gans. She died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include her companion, Reed INGRAM; four sons, Ken , Dennis, Wayne and John; sister, Phyllis; brother, Glen; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Dorothy Marie KINARD, 75, were held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Southside Full Gospel Church in Fort Smith, Ark. Cremation was under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Mansfield, Ark. Mrs. KINARD died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth and Linda; three sons, Elmer, Allen and Kenneth; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Margaret Lillian THOMPSON STREBECK, 91, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Sallisaw City Cemetery with the Rev. James Eubanks officiating, under the direction of Floral Heaven Funeral Home of Broken Arrow. Mrs. STREBECK was born Dec. 15, 1917, near Ozark, Ark., to John and Betty Ann (PAGE) THOMPSON. She died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, in Fort Smith. She married Tim STREBECK, Sept. 22, 1934, in Sallisaw. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Regina and Leland; two granddaughters; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Georgia and Mary Ann. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Merldean and Lela Jo.

Funeral services for Beverly Faye WHITFIELD, 50, of Sallisaw, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Fentress Mortuary Chapel in Fort Smith, Ark. Burial is in Steephill Cemetery, under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith. Mrs. WHITFIELD died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include her daughter, Brittany; brother, Charles; one grandchild; and her fiancé.

Funeral services for Robert Glen YOUNG Jr., 26, of Kiefer, formerly of Vian, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Westside Church of Christ in Vian with Bros. Ken Avaritt and Rick Thomas officiating. Burial is in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Vian, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. YOUNG was born Jan. 10, 1983, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Robert Glen YOUNG Sr. and Carla Marie (PACK) YOUNG. He died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, in Tulsa. Survivors include his sister, Lois and her husband, Waylon, niece, Stephanie and her husband, Scott; two nephews, Keith and Kevin; and one great-nephew, Reid.

Graveside services for William Earl “Billy” BARBER, 43, of Charlotte, N.C., will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Cottonwood Cemetery, under the direction of Green Hill Funeral Home of Sapulpa. Mr. BARBER was born Dec. 13, 1965, in Tucson, Ariz. He died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009. Mr. BENEDICT was born June 30, 1959, in Washington, D.C., to David Edwin BENEDICT Sr. and Jean MICHAELS. He died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Sallisaw. He married Linda Susan SQUIBB, Aug. 26, 1988, in Las Vegas, Nev. Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; mother and step-father, Ron and Jean UNZUETA; sister, Terri; two nieces, Emily and Natalie; one nephew, Oliver; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Todd.

Mrs. BRADER was born Jan. 27, 1911, in Springfield, Mo., to Henry Wade and Ida Cornelia (CRABB) CUNINGHAM. She died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Charleston. She married William Edward BRADER, May 18, 1930, in Springfield, Mo. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce and her husband, LeRoy; two sons, Lanny and his wife, Deborah, and Don and his wife, Barbara; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two sons.

Mr. CROCKER died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in Van Buren. Survivors include his wife, Dana of the home; one son, Michael; two step-sons, Jerry and Scott; one sister, Virgie and her husband, J.R.; two sister-in-laws, Margie and Eunice; one brother, CW and his wife, Charlotte; seven step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. JOHNSON was born Aug 24, 194, in Claremore. He died Sunday, Feb 8, 2009, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Rebecca JOHNSON of Fort Smith; three daughters, Linda and her husband, Rance, and Lori and her husband, Josh; mother of his children, Darlene JOHNSON; step-children, Sarah and her husbnad, Sam, and Sam; two brothers, James, and Tom and his wife Pam; two sisters, Laura Sue and Dian; and four grandchildren.

Mr. JONES was born Aug. 12, 1951, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Earl and Norma (FOUTS) JONES Sr. He died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in a local hospital. Survivors include his wife, Sharon JONES of the home; one daughter, Jennifer and her husband, Keith; two sons, Michael and his wife, Ginger, and Ryan; one sister, Betty and her husband, John; four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Earl Deal JONES and Roy Gene JONES.

Mr. LEDFORD was born June 1, 1964, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Max Edgar LEDFORD and Connie Sue Linn HARRIS. He died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, in Fort Smith. He married Cindy Leanne LEWIS, Sept. 4, 2007, in Fort Smith. Survivors include his wife, Cindy of the home; two sons, Corey and Trent; one step-daughter, Sarah; one step-son, Dakota; one grandson; mother, Connie HARRIS; father and step-mother, Max and Kathy; two sisters, Gaylene and Gloria; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relative sand friends.

Mrs LOGAN died Saturday, Feb 7, 2009, in a local hospital. Survivors inlcude her husband, Herman Dewayne LOGAN of Muldrow; one sister, Dottie; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Robert G. "Bob" McGEHEE, 53, of Tulsa were held at 2 p m Tuesday at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw with the Rev Rick Harris officiating. Burial was in Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. McGEHEE was born July 19, 1955, in Tulsa, to A C McGEHEE and Patsy Jean McGLOTHLIN. He died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2009, in Tulsa. Survivors include one daughter, Taylor; one sister Linda; one brother, Don; father; two nieces; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Richard Dale McGEHEE.

Funeral services for Vada Viola ROBERT, 84, of Sallisaw, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Apostolic Faith Church in Sallisaw with the Rev. Leon Farley officiating. Burial will be in the Sallisaw City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mrs. ROBERT was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Sequoyah County, to Jack WEBB and Blanche (PALMER) WEBB. She died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sisters, Reba and Jessie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Barnes D. ROBERT, four brothers, Rube, Tom, Olen and Ernest WEBB and three sisters, Mable McKINNEY, Savola PITMAN and Audie GOINS.

Burial is in Liberty Cemetery, north of Roland, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Roland. Mr. Rogers was born Jan. 3, 1943, in Long, to Elmer John ROGERS and Zula Mae (REED) ROGERS. He died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in Roland. He married Lucy Nadine McGEE, Sept. 20, 1974, in Poteau. Survivors include his wife, Lucy of the home; special cousin, Penny; one son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Dana; one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Abe; one granddaughter; three grandsons; two sisters, Edna Lee and Thelma; four brothers, Harvey, Arlin, Danny and Harold; one uncle and aunt, John and Ruth; and several other relatives and friends. He died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in Sallisaw. He married Barbara Kay WARDEN, Aug. 4, 1956, in Sallisaw. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Estel; four grandchildren; one sister, Catherine; one nephew; one great-niece; one great-nephew; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cook officiating, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Mr SMITH was born Jan 24, 1920, in Blue Mountain, Ark. He died Saturday, Feb 7, 2009, in Poteau. Survivors include one son, Arnold and his wife, Kay; three daughters, Marie and her husband, Bob, Nancy and her husband, Lewis, and Cecelia and her husband, Ray; seven grandhildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren;one brother,  Jimmy; one sister, Dorothy; and other relatives and friends. Ray Lloyd SMITH, 76, of Sallisaw, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, in Fort Smith, Ark. No formal service is planned and arrangements were under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. Mr. SMITH was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Arkansas, to John SMITH and Nancy Ellen SMITH. Survivors include four daughters, Nancy, Donna, Patti and Mary; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Danny SMITH, four brothers, Johnny, Jackie, Roy and Gene SMITH and two sisters, Louise and Nolla.
