Funeral services for Edward "Ed" BROWN, Sr., 58, of Sallisaw, are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Way of the Cross Church in Sallisaw, with the Revs. Jerry Copeland and Vance Mooney officiating. Burial is in Brent Cemetery, south of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Dec. 20, 1945, in Sallisaw, to Cleo BROWN and Elsie Marie (SMITH) BROWN. He died on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in Sallisaw. He married JoAnn CLARK BROWN on April 26, 1968, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, JoAnn BROWN of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Jr. and Tina; five grandchildren; two sisters, Ellen and Alta; two brothers, Floyd and Jack; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for George James CALLIE, 60, of Vian, are being held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw, with Revs. James Wisdom and Dale Ritter officiating. Burial is in Marble City Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Aug. 7, 1943 in Vian, to James CALLIE and Farnie YOUNG. He died on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Gloria (ANDERSON) CALLIE of the home; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Karen and Jason; Teresa, Cheryl and Maranda, and Karla and Michael; four sons, Lloyd; Joe, Bob, and Jason; one sister, Alice; one brother, Joe; twenty-six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Joe and Ida SEQUICHIE and Johnny "Dob" SEQUICHIE.

Funeral services for Truman E. SMITH, 54, of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Agent Chapel in Sallisaw, with the Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Burial is in Brent Cemetery, south of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Jan. 30, 1949, east of Sallisaw, to Andrew Jackson SMITH and Hazel C. (TOUNZEN) SMITH. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, in Sallisaw. He married Barbara Jean JAMES on July 19, 2002, in Van Buren, Ark. Survivors include his wife, Barbara SMITH of the home; one son, Brandon; two grandchildren; one step-daughter, Shari; one step-son, Christopher; five sisters, Juanita, Gracie, Shirley, Hazel and Georgia Ann; five brothers, Bert, Robert, Don , Buster, and E.W.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.

Graveside services for Derek Allen TOLER, 36, of Carrollton, Ga., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Mitchell Cemetery, east of Sallisaw, with the Revs. Leroy Reid and Curtis Bias officiating Burial will be under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Jan. 31, 1967, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Thomas TOLER and Marilyn (HICKS) TOLER. He died on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004, in Carrollton. Survivors include his wife, Connie (FIDDLER) TOLER of the home; one step-daughter, Nicole; one step-son, Christopher; his parents, Thomas and Marilyn TOLER; one sister, Tonya; and several other relatives and friends.

She was born on July 19, 1943, to Delbert and Vitah WALKER. She died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. Mrs. CARO was survived by her husband, Robert CARO of Paris; two daughters, Laura and Kelly V.; three grandchildren; one sister, Ann; four brothers, David, Richard, Herbert and John T.

Funeral services for Walter W. FLOYD, 91, of Akins community northeast of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Akins Baptist Church northeast of Sallisaw, with Rev. Vernon Smith officiating. Burial was in Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on July 11, 1912, in Calhoun, Ga., to John Buman FLOYD and Gussie STEPHENS. He died on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2004, in Sallisaw. He married Esther Marie BARRETT on Sept. 21, 1963, in Stilwell. She preceded him in death on Jan. 13, 2004. Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Jeanette; one son, Ronald Dale; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Clifford HOPKINS, 86, of Van Buren, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Independence Freewill Baptist Church, with burial in Hall Cemetery near Natural Dam, Ark., under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren. He was born on Sept. 21, 1917, to Andy Hopkins and Minnie (PANNELL) HOPKINS. He died on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2004, in an area hospital. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. She was born April 10, 1913, in Long community, to Prior David and Nellie (WHITESIDE) DAVID. She died on Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. She married Clifford Lefay SHARP in Dec. 1928, in Sequoyah County. He preceded her in death in Sept. 1988. Survivors include two daughters, Maxine L. and Geneva; six sons, Lonnie T., Virgil H., Tommy Ray, Billy Joe, David Eugene and Jerry Don; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; two half sisters, Vicki and Dena; and one half brother, J.R.

Burial was in Liberty Cemetery in Roland, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Muldrow. He was born on March 5, 1918, in Liberty, to John Henry TABOR and Lora BRAZZELL TABOR. He died on Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in Roland. He married Wilma Lee "Nicy" JEREMIAH on Dec. 1, 1938, in Roland. She was born on Oct. 24, 1971, in Little Rock, Ark., to Danny BRIDGES and Brenda WALTERMIRE. She died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, in Sallisaw. Survivors include two sisters, Candy and Shelley; two brothers, Kim and his wife Carolyn and Michael; her mother, Brenda WALTERMIRE; her aunt and uncle, Sarah and Jerry HARPER; her grandmother, Charleen MEREDITH; and her fiancée Brandon ROSIN.  She was preceded in death by her father.

Funeral services for Thomas L. COOK, 79, of Sallisaw, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Mallory Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw, with Rev. Robert Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Old Cache Cemetery, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Sallisaw. He was born on Oct. 18, 1924, in Bokoshe, to Arthur COOK and Vesta Hattie PRIDMORE. He died on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Ann and Donna Lee; three grandchildren; one niece; and friends including close friends, John and Pauline.  He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Ocia Ora ISOM, Beulah Lula HARDT and Bonnie BELL; and three brothers, Leonard Lindsay COOK, Elbert Lewis COOK and Edwin Vance COOK..

He died on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in Roland. Mr. Pittman was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, and served during World War II. He was welder for 28 years and recently retired as a maintenance worker for Roland Schools. He enjoyed gardening. He married Novella Laverne JEREMIAH on July 12, 1952. Survivors include his wife Novella PITTMAN of the home; one daughter, Sharon DANIEL of Roland; one son, Dewayne PITTMAN of Fort Smith, Ark.; one granddaughter, Crystal EMBERTON; one great-grandson, Daryl Blake STUART; one brother, Bob PITTMAN of Roland; his step-mother, Inez PITTMAN of Coalgate; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Paul EMBERTON and one sister, Phyllis KING.

Funeral services for Floyd D. PITTS, 87, of Fayetteville are being held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church 220 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville. Burial is in Combs Chapel Cemetery in Fayetteville, under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home Inc. of Prairie Grove, Ark. He was born on March 10, 1916, in Stilwell, to Charles William PITTS and Nora Eleanor WEST. He died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, in his home. He married Carmyn Gem MARROW on July 6, 1945, in Rogers. Survivors include his wife, Carmyn PITTS of the home; three daughters, Denele, Lisa and Peri; two sons, Thomas and Samuel ; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Verna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Noah and Harvey; and one sister, Opal.

Graveside services for Wanda Ruth RACKLEY, 78, of Warner, are being held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Warner Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Millsap Funeral Service of Webbers Falls. She was born on July 31, 1925, in Mulberry, Ark., to Jeff Davis and Amanda Adell (BALDRIDGE) HUGGINS. She died on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2004, in Muskogee. She married Troy F. RACKLEY in Dyer, Ark., on Aug. 24, 1940. Survivors include her husband of the home; two sons, Bob and his wife Jeanne and Wayne; one daughter and son-in-law, Lea and her husband Russell; one son-in-law, Walter; 10 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one sister, Bea.  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Kitty MOCK; her parents; three brothers and two sisters.
