Seminole County, Oklahoma
From Interstate 40 and Hwy 56 turn South. Continue south on Hwy 56 through the town of Wewoka, Oklahoma. South of Wewoka, from the intersection of Hwy 270 and Hwy 56, continue south approximately 4-5 miles. You will come to an intersection where you will see a church on the northeast side of the road and a building (Johnson's Grocery or Hibdon Tire Store) on the southwest corner. Turn west onto the dirt road (also known as EW 133) and travel 2.5 miles. There is a gravel pit further on, so be alert for heavy trucks carrying stone that ignore the 35 mph speed limit. Look for a tall blue metal tank on the south side of the road. When you see this, slow down as the cemetery is located on the south side of the road where it temporarily widens. It appears that two roads come together at an angle, however it is the parking area for the cemetery. If you drive past the wide spot, just look in your rear view mirror and you'll see the cemetery. The only marker to this cemetery is on Hwy 56. The cemetery appears to be well maintained, however, the road to it will test the shocks on your vehicle. Transcribed by Rebecca A. and Virginia L.
