Funeral services for
Gladys Lorene Gray will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2012
at 2:00 PM at the Okemah Church of Christ. She will be
laid to rest at the Highland Cemetery in Okemah. Gladys
Lorene Gray, 84, a longtime resident of Okemah, passed
over from this life on August 10, 2012 in Glenpool,
Oklahoma. She was born on July 27, 1928 to Marion and
Martha (Clem) White in Bristow, Oklahoma. When she
wasn’t participating in the activities at the Church of
Christ, you could find her at the library or in her
garden. She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Frankie “Bill” Gray; son, Robert Gray; three
brothers and two sisters. She will be missed by her
family which includes her son, John Gray of Seminole;
daughters, Ann Johnson and husband Daniel of Glenpool
and Ellen Ward and husband jerry of Collinsville;
daughter-in-law, Susan Gray of Middletown, Maryland;
grandchildren, Kelli Quinn and husband Rodney of Kileen,
Texas, Julie Johnson and husband Brad of Tulsa, Roger
Gray Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, Megan Johnson and
fiancé Dustin Marquiess of Glenpool and Lindsey Jeffries
and husband Paul of Moore; 5 great-grandchildren; two
great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lowry of
Oklahoma City and many other relatives and friends.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Paul Jeffries,
Dustin Marquiess, Roger Gray Jr., R.J. Quinn, Joshua
Quinn, Rodney Quinn and Brad Johnson. Services will be
under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home,
Okemah and officiated by Rev. Jeannie McMahan. Memorial
contributions can be made to the Okemah Public Library.
