Early Dougherty School Built bfore 1900 this building was replaced in 1924 with the one-story building, which still stands today. Because of declining enrollment, Dougherty consolidated with Davis in 1992. First known as Henderson Flat, the Dougherty post office was established in 887, thus changing the town's name. Dougherty School as it appears today. The school is located on the north side of town
