| Biggs Midway Gas Station Located between Ponca and Burbank |
 My
Grandmother Clara kept a Diary of her life and she wrote that around
1925-39 they had moved from the Oil Field's at Denoya to their Filling
Station. They lived in the back of the station. By looking at the
picture I tried to locate it when I was there June 2000. By the address
on the station and the street which I believe was 218 East Central by
the sign on the tree. The station was called the Midway Gas Station. The
photo was taken about 1928.
William Thomas Biggs, b. in Appletion City Mo. in 1873, and Clara Villa (Sadler) Biggs, b. 1878 in Denton Texas. They were married 56 years and had seven boy's and two girls which , in turn, to this date have brought forth 31 boys and 30 girls, 14 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 19 grt grt grandchildren . The little girl was Imogene Biggs, the first granddaughter they had. The photo was taken about 1928. They lived in the back section and had a store in front. |
