Born February 21, 1842 in Madison County, Georgia

Died March 25, 1921 south of Wynnewood, Oklahoma

J.W. Turnell is buried in Byers, Texas

He was married to Lula, who was born in 1868 in DeWitt County, Texas

They lived 3 miles south of Wynnewood and he made his living as a farmer

His information is taken from his widow's pension application of 1922
