Company C, 26th Alabama Infantry

Born July 21, 1849 in Alabama

Died December 16, 1937 in Okmulgee

James W. Seeton died of a cerebral hemorrhage and is buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.  He does not currently have a military marker

His wife, Amanda L., is buried beside him.
She was born May 6, 1858 and passed on
September 17, 1916

In 1880 he was in the Coryell County, Texas census, listed as 30 years old, married and gives his birthplace as Alabama

In the 1900 Indian Territory census of he is listed as a carpenter.  In the 1910 Oklahoma census he is listed as a 'preacher of the Gospel'

His military unit can be found in the Confederate Roster
