Born May 14, 1836 in Tolbert County, Georgia

Died January 15, 1918

He is buried in Palmer Cemetery in Murray County

His wife, M.A. Newby was born Oct 23, 1842
and died Jan 10, 1915 and is buried beside him

He came to Indian Territory in 1898 and was living at Iona in 1905.  Later he was living in Pontotoc County in 1915, near Maxwell

His pension application is dated July 12, 1915
