Private

Company H, 11th Arkansas Infantry

Born April 23, 1838 in Edgefield District, South Carolina

Died  ?

Robert came to the Indian Territory in 1903, according to his pension application but the 1900 census for Wynnewood does list him.   Prior to this he can be found living in Columbia County, Arkansas, in 1855.

He applied for a Texas pension in 1911, while living in Randall County, Texas but in 1915 he was living in or near Clinton, Oklahoma.

Robert's wife was Emma Ann Ellicott.   They were married in 1859 according to sources on the internet.

This source says he was 21 years old in the 1860 Columbia County, Arkansas census and also lists him as being in Company G, 26th Arkansas Infantry while his pension information shows R.M. Key enlisted in Company H, 11th Arkansas Infantry in the state of Tennessee on September 13, 1861 and he was discharged on August 20, 1862 because of a disability.
