Born May 26, 1846 in Yancey County, North Carolina

Died July 6, 1928 near Wynnewood, Oklahoma

Buried at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood and does have a military marker. Lot 1, Block 136

He married Cynthia Jane, in Parker County, Texas, on June 25, 1880.  They came to Indian Territory in 1883

He enlisted at Ashville, North Carolina in the Spring Creek Company.  John B. Palmer was the commanding officer of the 58th North Carolina Infantry
