Mrs. Margaret Fannin

DEATH OF MRS. FANNIN

Mrs. Margaret Fannin, aged 73 years, died Friday, November 13, at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. O.C. White, with whom she had been visiting for the past few weeks.  Deceased was  born in Wexford, Ireland, in 1840.  When at the age of 17 she came to America, her parents going first to Chicago, where she married Mr. Fannin, in 1873 and together they came west to Kansas. There they lived until the time of the opening of Oklahoma for settlement when they came to El Reno and made this their home for a number of years. Six years ago they went to California, where they remained until two years ago, when Mr. Fannin died. Since the death of her husband Mrs. Fannin had been visiting at the homes of her children and grandchildren. About three weeks ago she came back to El Reno to visit at the home of her stepdaughter, Mrs. Gehraty and her grand-daughter, Mrs. O. C. White..  Funeral services were held at the Catholic church Monday morning at eight o'clock, conducted by Rev. Father Sevens, and interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
