Winford L. Wilson

Winford L. "Blackie" Wilson, born July 7, 1917, in Bowie, Texas, to Porter H. Wilson and Marie Heifner Wilson, died on Saturday, Oct. 29, in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he had resided since January of 2002.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Garrison Wilson of Midwest City; wife, Katherine Mutten Wilson of Midwest City; and Lola Pace Wilson of Bullard, Texas, and a sister, Norma Wilson Milburn of Asher.

He is survived by four children, Tracye Wilson Cox and husband, Carl Cox, of Muskogee, Norma Wilson Price of Wichita Falls, Donald L. Wilson and wife, Marie Wilson, of Brownfield, Texas, and Pat "Ann" Wilson Hardin and husband, Mike, of Cordell; 14 stepchildren; 11 grandchildlren, Paul Cartledge, Marci Brosch, of Wichita Falls, Tom White of Enid, Tracie Kretchmire of Delray Beach, Fla., Donald Wilson Jr. and Gwen Wilson Hamilton of Logansport, Ind., Grace Wilson Slaughter of Burlison, Texas, Donald Wayne Wilson of Edmond, Robbie Wilson of Arlington, Texas, Patrick Wilson of Midland, Texas, Wendi Smith Roundtree of Norman; 15 step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four nieces/nephews, Jerry Milburn of Asher, Marilyn Milburn Price of Ada, Faye Ann Milburn Jackson of Copperas Cove, Texas, and Jimmy Wilson of Bullard, Texas.

"Blackie" was a member of the First Baptist Church, Midwest City, and the First Baptist Church in Iowa Park, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Visitation for family and friends was held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home, Wichita Falls.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. today at Arlington Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3400 N. Midwest Blvd., Midwest City, with the Rev. Laddie Adams officiating.

Leora Childers

Tecumseh resident Leora Childers, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 29, in Tecumseh.
She was born Jan. 31. 1914, in Moore to Thomas Jefferson and Edna Whitten. She was a resident of Pottawatomie County nearly all of her life.

On Feb. 6, 1932, she married Leavern Childers in Pottawatomie County. Mr. Childers preceded her in death on Sept. 7, 1974.

Mrs. Childers was a homemaker and along with her husband, they ranched in Pottawatomie and Cleveland Counties. She enjoyed gardening, especially potted flowers and received "The Yard of the Week" award numerous times.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, J.L. Sullivan, and one great-granddaughter, Andrea Sigman.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon and Sue Childers of Tecumseh, Doyle and Carolyn Childers of Bethel; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jerri Geralene Sullivan of Norman, and Nelda and Floyd Lester of Bethel; one sister and brother-in-law, Verna and George Crisp of Artesia Wells, Texas; granddaughters, Darla Watkins, Debra Sigman, Tammy Lee and Nancy Price; grandsons, Randy Childers, Danny Childers, Kenny Childers, Mark Childers, Mickey Childers, Lesley Lester, Jay Sullivan and Devon Sullivan; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, Alixzandrea Lee Sigman.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Pastor Ruben Marquez, Church of God 7th Day, officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Former Seminole County resident Midra Lee Dearen, 95, died Saturday, Oct. 29, at Valley View Hospital in Ada.

June Freeman

Shawnee resident June Freeman, 63, died Monday, Oct. 31, in Shawnee.
She was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Naples, Texas, to John and Georgia Lee (Tisdale) Crawford.

Freeman lived most of her life in Bassett, Texas. She also lived in Maud, Texas, before moving to Shawnee in 1979.

On April 7, 1967, she married Sidney Freeman in Bassett, Texas.

Along with her husband, she pastored churches in Oklahoma. She also worked as a cook for Shawnee Public Schools.

She was a member of Lighthouse Tabernacle Church of God in Seminole.

Her grandchildren were the focal point of her life and she made the best cinnamon rolls and fried chicken.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Richard Crawford; daughter-in-law, Donna Freeman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ernest and Lena Freeman.

Survivors include her husband, Sidney Freeman, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Woody Junot of Allen, Texas, Kay and Greg Gibson of Shawnee; four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Betty Freeman of Tishomingo, Rodger and Joyce Freeman of Maud, Texas, Darrell and Cheryl Freeman of Shawnee, Michael and Lori Freeman of Okmulgee; brother and sister-in-law, Weldon and Francis Crawford of Maryville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren, James Jr. and Jeanette Freeman, Jeri Freeman, Brian and Sonya Freeman, David and Rachel Freeman, Dana Freeman, Cody Gibson, Colton Gibson, Kim Junot, Pam Junot, Cindy Junot, Tim Junot and MacKenzie Freeman; three great-grandchildren, Taylor Freeman, Emily Freeman and Xavier Freeman.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Park Church of God, Shawnee, with the Rev. James Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Terry Lee DeMoss

Former Shawnee resident Terry Lee DeMoss, 46, departed this earth on Tuesday, Oct. 18, in Golden Valley, Ariz.
He was born Feb. 4, 1959, in Gravette, Ark., to Audrey and Johnny DeMoss.

Preceeding him in death is his father, Jack Hunt; grandmother, Ellen Blakley; uncle, Ronnie Blakley.

Survivors include his three children, Tanya Demoss of Shawnee, Terry Michael and Savannah DeMoss, both of Canada; former wife and mother of his children, Della DeMoss, also of Canada; mother and stepfather, Audrey and Troy Belcher of Arizona; brother and sister-in-law, Tracy and Terri DeMoss; sisters and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Lee Dingman, Marla and Don Foracre, all of Oklahoma, and Danna and Chuck Irish of Texas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A rose bush and tree planting ceremony for family and friends will be Saturday, Nov. 5.

Norma Lea Scarberry

McLoud resident Norma Lea (Alexander) Scarberry, 80, died Monday, Oct. 31, in McLoud.
She was born May 3, 1925, in Norman to Oscar and Dovie (Wynne) Alexander.

Scarberry graduated from Norman High School.

On May 28, 1943, she married Roy Scarberry and they enjoyed 62 years of marriage.

Together they operated a farming business in McLoud for more than 50 years.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, gardening, playing Bridge and square dancing. She was of the Baptist faith.

Her parents and two brothers preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Roy Scarberry of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Dolores Scarberry and Terry and Robin Scarberry, all of McLoud; daughter, Diane Gwin of Norman; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends.

Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, with the Rev. Bryan Shaw officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service, Harrah.

Anna E. McCullar

Shawnee resident Anna E. McCullar, 95, died Monday, Oct. 31, in Shawnee.
She was born Aug. 21, 1910, in Ellisville, Miss., to Sam and Rosa Imbragulio.

McCullar graduated from Ellisville High School and attended Jones County Junior College.

She was a homemaker.

On Jan. 5, 1947, she married Grover Glenn McCullar in Laurel, Miss.

She had lived in Shawnee since 1966 and was a member of the catholic church.

McCullar loved cooking and baking for family and friends. She always had fond memories of working in her father's grocery store.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Grover Glenn McCullar of Shawnee; daughter, Patricia Fisher Simmons and her husband, Mike, of Shawnee; grandson, Jeffrey Fisher and his wife, Ksenia, of Shawnee; sister, Helen Prince and her husband, Tom, of Mississippi; two brothers, George Imbragulio of Ellisville, Miss., Francis Imbragulio of Mobile, Ala.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Service will be 10:30 a.m. today at Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Clark Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Woodrow Whiteley

Shawnee resident Woodrow Whiteley, 92, died Monday, Oct. 31, at his home.
He was born May 14, 1913, in Newton County, Ark., to William and Mattie Ellis-Whiteley.

Whiteley graduated from Shawnee High School in 1935 and later played football for Oklahoma Baptist University.

On Aug. 13, 1937, he married Dennie E. Thomas in Shawnee.

For 29 years Whiteley worked for Harps Food Manufacturing producing food for the U.S. servicemen during World War II. He later retired from Shawnee Milling company after 22 years as a lab technician. He then worked for another 12 years with Pratt Foods as the receiving manager.

Woodrow was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 622 and Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a deacon for more than 50 years. He enjoyed golf and was a member of the Shawnee Elks Lodge for 48 years, a member of the Jimmy Austin Golf Center in Seminole for six years, and more recently a two-year member at FireLake Golf course in Shawnee. He held positions as both secretary and later treasurer with the Texas and Oklahoma Poultry and Egg Association for a total of 4 1/2 years.

He is proceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife Dennie Whiteley, of the home; daughter and her husband, Donna and Lester Bettelyoun of Seminole; three grandsons, Chad, L.J, and Wally; five greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be p.m. Friday at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Dr. Todd Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Gaskill Funeral Chapel.

Charles E. Duryee

Shawnee resident Charles E. Duryee died Nov. 1, at his home.
He was born March 14, 1944, in Auburn, N.Y., to Robert C. and Ruth (Miller) Duryee.

Duryee attended Rutgers College and Mercer County Community College. He was a certified public works manager with the Township of Upper Freehold, N.J. He served as production supervisor for Shearer/Penn Tree and Lawn Care of Trenton, N.J. He was an avid antique car fan and was known as "Mr. Home Depot" for his handyman abilities. He loved to portray Santa at Christmas time.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Christine Wasson Duryee, whom he married in Shawnee on Oct. 13, 1984, and his loyal companion, Tammy, of the home; son, Thomas C. Duryee of New York; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Fred Childress; stepchildren and spouses, Beverly Bostwick and Scott Larson of Florida, Sandra Bostwick and Pat Spencer and David Bostwick, all of New York; sister, Roberta Kalbfleisch of Oregon; brothers, Thomas Duryee of Oregan, John Duryee of Florida, David Duryee of Washington, Stephen Duryee of New York; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and longtime friend, Ronald G. Beers of New York.

Seminole resident Paul Odis "Odie" Jordan, 61, died Monday, Oct. 31, in Oklahoma City.

Woodrow Whiteley

Shawnee resident Woodrow Whiteley, 92, died Monday, Oct. 31, at his home.

McLoud resident Johnny Lee Williams, 60, died Monday, Oct. 31, in Shawnee.
He was born June 17, 1945, in Shawnee to Melvin John and Ester Sylvia (Walton) Williams.

On March 9, 1973, he married Donna Williams in Purcell.

He worked for DanRan Mechanical for 30 years. He enjoyed his work and co-workers.

Williams enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and spending time on his farm.

Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Jim Williams; sister, Bertie Lue; granddaughter, Lilly Mae Williams.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Williams of the home; daughter, Mary Ann Williams of Lawton; two sons and daughter-in-law, Martin and Teri Williams of Wimberley, Texas, and Raymond Williams of McLoud; sister, Mary Nancy (Williams) Cole of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers and sister-in-law, Vernon Williams of Noble and Bill and Rita Williams of Oklahoma City; mother-in-law, Emma L. Strong of Rockdale, Texas; eight grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. today at Emanuel Baptist Church, 149th & Fishmarket Rd., with Donnie Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Black Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home, Tecumseh.

Shawnee resident Lori Gay (Winter) Tade, 37, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Wilmington, N.C.

Bonnie Lavena Porterfield

Shawnee resident Bonnie Lavena Porterfield, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, at a local hospital.
Service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Gaskill Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sparks officiating. Burial will follow at Neal Cemetery, East of Shawnee, under the direction of Gaskill Funeral Chapel.

Nora Lee Morris

Nora Lee Morris, 94, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3.
She was born April 30, 1911, in Fletcher to W. T. Carson and Lillie Mae (Griffin) Carson.

On Nov. 28, 1931, she married Perry E. "Chuck" Morris in Holdenville. They moved to Seminole from Allen. They had two children, Barbara Jean (Morris) Britt and John Morris. They were married for 49 years.

She worked at a glass factory in Ada when she was younger, but spent most of her life being a homemaker. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ada.

Prececding her in death are her parents, her husband who passed away in 1980, three brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Barbara and Terrell Britt and John and Beverly Morris, all of Seminole; three grandsons Randy Britt and friend, Audra Jennings, of Seminole, Terry Britt of Midwest City, Bod and Glenda Britt of Shawnee; four great-grandchildren, Jacob Britt and Kasey Britt of Davenport, Taylor Britt and Scotlyn Britt of Shawnee; numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park in the Garden of Cross. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

The Britt and Morris Families would like to thank the entire staff at Seminole Estates Nursing Center who gave of themselves all the love and care to Nora Morris and her family. Each and everyone gave the blessing of human kindness. God bless everyone.

Rosemary Thompson

Gainesville, Texas, resident Rosemary Thompson, 79, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Good Samaritan Village in Denton, Texas.
She was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Pottawatomie County to William Thomas and Clara Mae Edmister Fowler.

On Nov. 23, 1947, she married Eldene Thompson in Macomb.

Thompson had resided in Gainesville since 1960. She was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church.

She was a homemaker and was a kindergarten teacher at Grand Avenue Baptist Church for 30 years.

Preceding her in death are her parents and her brothers, Bob and Bill Fowler.

Survivors include her husband, Eldene Thompson of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mike Maddux of Argyle, Texas; Randy and Michelle Thompson of Boyd, Texas; grandson, Mark Maddux of Lewisville, Texas; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Fowler of Tecumseh and Mary Fowler of Pampa, Texas.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fridat at Geo J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue Baptist Church, Gainesville, with the Rev. Bill Black and the Rev. Milton Pledger officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville under the direction of Geo J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home.

Juanita Carpenter

Shawnee resident Juanita Carpenter, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 2, at a local hospital.
She was born Dec. 28, 1921, in Bienivedas, Texas, to Henriquitta and Juan Manuel Canales. She was the youngest of eight.

Carpenter was a high school graduate.

She worked in San Antonio, where she met Earl Carpenter. They were married in November 1947 and moved to Oklahoma in 1955 to start their lives together. They had six children.

Carpenter was a devoted Catholic and proud of her Mexican heritage.

She had a wonderful sense of style and fashion that inspired her into the world of ladies clothing, retailing at her shop, Today's Fashions. The ladies of Shawnee were greeted with her smile to help make any woman feel beautiful inside and out. She enjoyed traveling from Dallas to New York.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Earl, in 2004 and her daughter, Jannette Falls on June 4, 2005.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Gary Carpenter D.C., Yvonee Banister, Dr. Bruce Carpenter D.C., Greg Carpenter and Elizabeth Armstrong; grandchildren, Brandon Carpenter, Michael Dale Armstrong, Jonathan (J.J.) Armstrong, Heather Carpenter and Tiffany Carpenter; two great-grandchildren, Brayden and Ashlyn Carpenter; sister, Marie Keene; brother, Jose M. Canales; and many nieces and nephews in Michigan, Texas and New Mexico.

Service will be 11 a.m. today at Walker Funeral Service with Rene4 Ocha officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Bonnie Morphew

Meeker resident Bonnie Morphew, 75, died Thursday, Nov. 3, in Shawnee.
She was born Aug. 8, 1930, in Cushing to Alexander Sandy and Inza Inez (Potts) Johnston.

On July 11, 1946, she married Enoch Luther Morphew in Winfield, Kan. They moved to Meeker in 1958. She lived there most of her life.

She was a homemaker and a very loving and giving mother and grandmother.

Preceded her in death were her parents; husband; son, Samuel Alexander Morphew; grandson, Douglas Morphew; two brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Ron Edmonson of Meeker; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jamie Morphew of Meeker; grandchildren and spouses, Rhonda and Darren Raines of Paden, Kerri and Troy Perkins of Meeker, Charity Edmonson of Meeker, Tami and B.J. Cordell of Seminole, Robert and Danielle Morphew of Newalla, Chris Morphew of Midwest City, Michelle and Scott Van Eck of Oklahoma City, Melissa and Chuck Johnson of Ada; 17 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at New Salem Cemetery, Meeker, with Brother Carl Shaffer officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Chandler.

Stella Roberts

Stella Roberts died Thursday, Nov. 3, at Pauls Valley General Hospital from complications of pneumonia.
She was born Jan. 4, 1912, in Seminole to Tillman M. Lee and Callie Emma (Williams) Lee.

Roberts moved to Tribbey when she was 5 years old. She attended grade school and high school in Tribbey.

As a teenager, she was baptized at Tribbey Baptist Church and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pauls Valley.

On June 25, 1932, she married William Martin Roberts. They lived two miles west of Tribbey and reared seven children there.

She attended Bible College and received a degree in Bible study. She taught Bible study at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Moore and worked at Emmanuel Baptist School until her retirement.

Roberts lived with her daughter, Jean, since 1997 until she went to the Washita Valley Living Center after she broke her ankle in a fall. She walked with her Lord all the days of her life, right into the gates of heaven.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin; son, Jack Martin; grandson, Robert Jones Roberts; granddaughter, Naomi Roberts, children of Tom and Sonja Roberts; great-grandson, Cody Parks, grandson of Jean Law; son-in-law, Dan Collier.

Shawnee resident Lori Gay (Winter) Tade, 37, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, in Wilmington, N.C.
She was born July 22, 1968, in Oklahoma City.

Frank Shepherd

Frank Shepherd, 72, Shawnee, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005.



He was born March 3, 1933, in Seminole, the son of James Stanley and Sylvia Mehalia (Hoover) Shepherd. He was reared in Shawnee, Tecumseh, Bethel Acres and Meeker and attended Meeker Schools. He lived in Bethel Acres for 40 years.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On Oct. 25, 1956, he married Lorettia Rosebud in Shawnee. He was a farmer, a mechanic and drove a propane truck.

He also served his community as a volunteer firefighter with the Bethel Fire Department for 21 years, serving as fire chief for 17 years. He was a member of Tranquil Moments Water Garden Society and enjoyed camping and farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James "Fred" Shepherd.

Suriving are his wife, Lorettia Shepherd, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Carol K. and Larry Eichor of Tecumseh; son, Danny Joe Shepherd of McLoud; grandson, Dakota K. Shepherd of Mustang; special family friend, Kim Shepherd of Mustang; four brothers and five sisters-in-law, Maurice and Beauna Shepherd, Lloyd and Barbara Shepherd, Eldon and Rose Shepherd, Walter and Nina Shepherd and Laverne Shepherd; two sisters-in-law, Vanetia and Jack Powers and LaWanda and Frank Wayne Adamson.

Opal O. Wilbanks

Chandler resident Opal O. Wilbanks, formerly of Meeker, died Sunday, Nov. 6, in Chandler at the age of 85.
She was born Feb. 26, 1920, in Rossville to Carl and Vergie (Hall) Fenderson.

Wilbanks attended Union Grade #1 (White Rock School) where she graduated as salutatorian. She also graduated from the Cheatham Business College.

On Sept. 20, 1942, she married Glenn Marvin Wilbanks in Davenport.

Wilbanks was the Lincoln County Treasurer from 1939 to 1942. She then worked at the First National Bank in Chandler and worked part-time for the Lincoln County Treasurer and Assessors Office. She also was the Lincoln County Court Clerk for 27 years. She had more than 36 years of public service during her career.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chandler and the Lincoln County Historical Society. She also was a lifetime member of the Chandler Chapter of OES.

Wilbanks served as the president of Oklahoma State Clerk's Association for many years and was the 1976 Meeker Citizen of the Year.

She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Glenna June Wilbanks; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Virginia and Charles Frazier of Chandler, Linda and James Morrison of Bartlesville, Karlene Campbell of Meeker; brother and sister-in-law, Gail and Lil Fenderson of Meeker; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Bottoms of Fort Worth, Texas, Melva and Mick Lee of San Diego, Calif., Ethelyene Wilbanks of Tulsa; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

A viewing will be held 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home. Service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, Meeker, with the Rev. Don Brown and the Rev. Sungsu Hwang officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home of Chandler.

Lifetime Meeker area resident Edward John Wilcox, 79, died Sunday, Nov. 6, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 28, 1926, to Wiley and Flossie (Pettit) Duke in Yeager.

On May 27, 1950, he married Thelma Wakolee in Shawnee.

He worked at Shawnee Iron and Supply for 40 years and was a member of North Rock Creek Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma Wilcox, of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Arletta and Bruce Gallaway of Meeker; grandsons, Jason Galloway and Jeffrey Galloway, both of Meeker; a number of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Ruth Deloris Lucy

Lifelong Maud area resident Ruth Deloris (Pratt) Lucy, 95, died Monday, Nov. 7, at Sunset Estates Nursing Home, Tecumseh.
She was born March 25, 1910, in Maud to Louis William and Nancy Gertrude (Lusk) Pratt. Lucy and her sons were born at the same homeplace her father acquired in the land run.

On Sept. 8, 1925, she married Robert "Garland" Lucy in Konawa.

She worked at Harjo School as a cook for 25 years and at Maud School as a cook for 11 years. She also worked at the Maud Housing Authority, the Action Program and the Maud Senior Citizen Center.

Lucy was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Maud, and the American Legion Auxilary. She and Garland were also members of the Maud Roundup Club.

She and Garland loved to dance and go to ballgames.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Garland, on June 19, 1986; son, Loy Lucy, who in 1940 died in a house fire at the age of 13; daughter, Lueree Hudson in 1990; two brothers, Willie Pratt in 1913 and infant Donald Pratt in 1909; two sisters, Maggie Cheatwood in 1995 and Mable Miller in 1994.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-laws, Paul and Nancy Lucy of Maud, Leroy and Betty Lucy of Edmond, Jack Lucy and his companion, Joyce Townsend, of Tecumseh; nine grandchildren, J.P. Lucy, Jeff Lucy, Hiley Lucy, Robert Lucy, Rex Lucy, Lorna Horne, Lueroyce Briggs, Jim Hudson and Linda Adams; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Pall bearers will be J.P. Lucy, Jeff Lucy, Robert Lucy, Rex Lucy, Jim Hudson and Hiley Lucy.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and until the service begins on Thursday, under the direction of Knight-Swearingen Funeral Home of Maud. Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church, Maud, with Glen Williams officiaiting. Burial will follow at Cummings Cemetery, Maud.

Terry Don Brown

Tecumseh resident Terry Don Brown, 52, died Monday, Nov. 7, in Shawnee.
He was born Dec. 3, 1952, in Shawnee to John Paul and Mary (Rickey) Brown. He had lived in Tecumseh since 1989.

Terry Don was a graduate of Dale High School. He attended OBU and Gordon Cooper AVTS and received his LPN Nursing degree in February 1976.

He worked for Worthington Pump and he then worked 28 years for the nursing homes in Tecumseh and Maud. He also worked 18 years for Unity Health Center and Mission Hill Hospital.

He was active in Future Farmers of America and 4-H. He also was a member of the Odd Fellows in Wewoka and Shawnee and he served as treasurer in Shawnee. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Judy Brown.

Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Summer and John Spear of Shawnee, Karen Brown and and Ben Monsey of Tecumseh and Jessica Brown and Travis Carter of the home; one sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Murel Longnecker of Shawnee; three nieces and their spouses, Tammy and Fredie Green, Pamela and Alan Grubb, Amanda and Zack Hasbell, all of Shawnee; two great-nephews and three great-nieces, all of Shawnee; and many other relativies and special friends.

Newalla resident Linda Berry, 46, died Saturday, Nov. 5, in Oklahoma City.
Linda was born April 3, 1959, in Norman to Harold Dean and Vera Lucile (Hickok) Clark. She was reared in Newalla. She lived in Shawnee most of her adult life and had returned to reside in Newalla in the past year.

She attended Bethel Schools and was a 1977 graduate of Bethel High School.

In 1997, she married Greg Berry. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Linda was a homemaker. She enjoyed writing poems and had a strong belief in the Lord.

Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Boland of Shawnee and Valerie Berry of the home; two sons, Taylor Washburn of Shawnee and Gregory Berry of the home; her mother and stepfather, Lucile and Zona Clark of Noble; her father, Harold Washburn of Newalla; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Madeline and Alan Blackard of Harrah and Karen and Mike Vinson of New Braunfels, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Dean and Christy Washburn of Shawnee, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Betty Plantz

Tecumseh resident Betty Plantz, 70, died Monday, Nov. 7, in Norman.
She was born May 22, 1935, in Earlsboro to Russell J. and Ethel Mae (Martin) Lewis.

Plantz attended school at South Rock Creek and Earlsboro.

On Dec. 1, 1956, she married Clovis Earl Plantz in Fort Smith, Ark.

She worked as a seamstress and was a homemaker.

Plantz was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Tecumseh.

She enjoyed crocheting and Danielle Steele's movies and books. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the focal point of her life.

Preceding her in death are her parents; four brothers; three sisters; son, James Plantz; two grandsons, Chris Plantz and Wesley Lowery.

Floyd Switch

Shawnee resident Floyd Switch, 81, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, in Oklahoma City.
He was born Jan. 30, 1924, in Aydelotte, in Pottawatomie County, to James and Mary (White) Switch. He was raised in the Johnson Community and has lived most of his life at the Switch family home.

During World War II he served in the U.S. Army.

On April 11, 1991, he married Mildred Little Creek in Shawnee.

Floyd worked in construction, building homes and churches. He was a member of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe and an active follower of the Native American Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Surviviors include his wife, Mildred Switch of the home; six daughers and two sons-in-law, Beverly Bemo of Shawnee, Rosemary Smith of Mesa, Ariz., Karin Wakolee of Shawnee, Rowena Wakolee of Shawnee, Kathleen and Gene Logan of Shawnee and Erica and Josh Martinez of Shawnee; five sons and one daughter-in-law, David Wakolee of Shawnee, Frank Wakolee and Jerry Wakolee, both of Mesa, Ariz, Garry Wakolee of Shawnee, and Sam and Barbara Martinez of Modesto, Calif.; four brothers, Melford Switch and William Switch, both of Shawnee, Herbert Switch of Oklahoma City and George Whitten of Port Angeles, Wash.; one sister, Zelma Couch of Oklahoma City; 27 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends of the family.

Billy Mundy

Shawnee resident Billy Mundy, 78, died Monday, Nov. 7, in Oklahoma City.
She was born May 15, 1927, in Norman to John William and Ina (Coffey) Tillman.

On Oct. 23, 1944, she married Ervin Mundy in Norman. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2001.

She grew up in Oklahoma City and had lived in Tecumseh and Shawnee most of her adult life.

Billy was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of God, Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include daughter, Betty Barnard of Shawnee; son, Johnny Mundy of Shawnee; five grandsons, Michael Harrison of Oklahoma City, David Harrison of Shawnee, Will Harrison of Oklahoma City, Johnny Mundy of Kansas City, Mo., and Chris Mundy of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Rebecca Barnard of Shawnee; two great-grandsons, Connor Harrison of Oklahoma City and Bryce Mundy of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, John Tillman of Oklahoma City; and sister, Lou Newport of Oklahoma City.

Peggy J. Pickering

Peggy Jane (Groves) Pickering of Wanette went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the age of 75.
She was born April 28, 1930, near Coalgate to Winnie and Adaline (Benton) Groves.

Peggy Groves and Neal Pickering were married in Borger, Texas, on Oct. 15, 1949. They moved to Wanette in 1966 where they raised cattle. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings and especially the holiday seasons. After raising her own children, she continued to care for and babysit many children in the Wanette Community.

She was a member of the Chickasaw Nation and Wanette United Methodist Church. She was an artist of considerable talent and created intricate beadwork. Among her favorite pastimes were bus trips to Tunica, Miss., collecting dolls and collecting and watching movies. She also loved her many animals.

Preceding her in death are her parents and all of her siblings, Juanita Daniel, Opal Farmer, Oleta Neal, Lillian Archer, Joann Groves, Felix Groves and Albert Groves.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Neal Pickering, of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Hope Pickering of Seminole, Sue Snodgrass of Seminole, Zay and Doyle Tiffin of Norman; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Terri Hodges-Pickering of Shawnee; grandchildren and spouses, Jason Michael and Jennifer Pickering of Norman, Kayla Tiffin and Kaci Tiffin, both of Norman, Carrie and Matt Hill of Moore, Emily Dyer of Shawnee; great-granddaughter, Miranda Pickering of Norman; Cody Brant, who was like a son, and many nieces and nephews.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wanette United Methodist Church under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Gail Cheri Graham

Shawnee resident Gail Cheri Graham, 60, died Monday, Nov. 7, at a local hospital.
She was born July 2, 1945, to Woody and Mary Hairston in San Francisco, Calif.

Graham attended school in California, graduating from Huntington Park High School in 1963.

On July 11, 1992, she married K.G. Graham on a riverboat in Laughlin, Nev. He preceded her in death in 1993.

She worked as a bookkeeper for W.M.B. Transportation of Colton, Calif.

Graham was a devoted mother and a true and giving person. She will be missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Mitsy Lea Lang, of Tecumseh; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Angie Bartley of Kingsport, Tenn.; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Dixie Bolenbaugh of Reno, Nev.

May she rest in peace in her husband Kenny's arms.

Hershel Glen Seaton

Longtime Prague resident Hershel Glen Seaton, 78, died Thursday, Nov. 10, in Bixby.
He was born May 3, 1927, in Marietta to Sammy Ulysses and Sylvia (Hull) Seaton.

On July 10, 1947, he married Ruth Nadine Johnson in Reno, Nev. She preceded him in death April 11, 1987.

He served his country overseas with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired welder and a well-known musician.

Seaton played in bands for many years at senior citizen centers, nursing homes, benefits, etc. For the past 5 1/2 years, his band, Lazy S Wranglers, played at the senior citizen's center in Prague. He also played with the Thursday night Band for many years.

He was a member of the VFW, View of the Cross Church and Prague Round-Up Club.

Preceding him in death are his parents; daughter, Karen Sue; three brothers; two sisters; one grandson; lifelong friend, J.D. Friend.

Helen Jackson

Duncan resident Helen Jackson, formerly of Shawnee, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Duncan.
She was born May 10, 1907, to James and Cora (Fenter) Skinner in Kaw City.

Jackson was a clerk in retail, owned the dress shop Mode-O-Day and retired from the state of Oklahoma in land acquisitions in 1975.

She was a member of First Christian Church, BPW and the Rebekah Lodge, local and state.

Preceding her in death are her parents; her husband, Charles H. (Jack) Jackson; daughter, Doris Pearl Harris; grandson, Keith Allen Harris; sister, Olive Anderson.

Survivors include five children and spouses, Robert L. and Maria Jackson of Winston-Salem, N.C., Phillip G. and Rose Jackson of Story, Wyo., Donna Rae Smith of Dallas, Lila Faye Couch of Duncan, Charles H. and Barbara Jackson of Odessa, Texas; stepson, William C. Jackson of Grandview, Mo.; 23 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lucille Russell, formerly of Shawnee, now of Dallas.

Ruth Nevills

Longtime Shawnee resident Ruth Nevills, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left this life Friday, Nov. 11.

She was born Sept. 19, 1911, in Spaulding, the middle child of seven born to David Walker and Sarah Ida Lee (Douthit) Woolard. She was the last surviving of those siblings.

She graduated from Atoka High School in 1931.

She obeyed the gospel in her youth and never left that faith. She loved this life and wanted her children to love Christ for us all to meet in Heaven. "Sunday best" wasn't just a phrase for her. Shoes had to be polished even if it had to be done Sunday morning.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.

Her son Joe, having a hard time at one point in college, wanted to quit, but he said he just couldn't get up the nerve to tell Mom, so he went on and finished school and was in the field of education all of his career.

She was a wonderful mother who never backed down from spanking us, even when we thought we were innocent that time.

"I probably missed one you slipped by me," she told us, and we often got to pick our own switch.

She was preceded in death by her husband and partner in Christ, Lee Nevills; a daughter, Marjory Lee Drake, and a grandson, Michael Joe Morgan.

She is survived by children, Joan Peck and Fred of Oklahoma City; Joe Nevills and Betty of Crowder; Tom Nevills and Janice of Wichita, Kan.; Nancy Kinman and Gerald of Keller, Texas; Linda Guadiz and Bob of Demoins, Wash., and Martha Allen of Memphis, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.

Her family was everything to Mother, and she was everything to us. Rest in Peace, Dear Mother, 'til we meet again.

The family cannot adequately express our appreciation to the wonderful care given to Mother at St. Ann's Nursing Center in Oklahoma City and to Mercy Hospice. It greatly comforted us to see you care for Mother.

Lillie Florela Dallas

Lillie Florela Dallas died Friday, Nov. 11, at the age of 81.

She was born Aug. 26, 1924, in Byers to Benjamin and Bertha (Wood) Rogers.

She married Jack Dallas in 1947 in Shafter, Calif.

She was a longtime member of the Northwest Missionary Baptist Church as well as First Baptist Church, Noble.

She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children. She was complemented for her delicious cooking and she enjoyed taking on crafting projects. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include five children, David E. and Beverly Dallas of Norman; Irey D. and Gwen Dallas of Hot Springs, Ark.; Charles D. and Sharon Dallas of Blanchard; Mary June and Carl Clark of Shawnee; Donna and David Phillips of Stringtown; one sister and brother-in-law, Naomi and Jimmy Wiley of Billings, Mont.; six grandsons; one granddaughter; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park. Resthaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Lenora Cullison

Helen Lenora Cullison, 77, died Thursday, Nov. 10, at Solara Hospital in Shawnee.

She was born April 10, 1928, in Geary to Noah and Cora Bell (Smith) Hines. She attended school in Shawnee.

She married Calvin Cullison of Norman Jan. 19, 1946.

Helen had been a beautician as well as a cook for Shawnee Public Schools for many years. She was a member of Heritage Church in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and five sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Calvin Cullison, of the home; three children, Sharon and Clyde Barnard of McLoud, Richard and Darlene Cullison of Shawnee, Randy and Peggy Cullison of Meeker; two sisters, Clara Collins and Neva Ayers, both of Shawnee; one brother, Noah J. Hines of Shawnee; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jason Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Henry Herman Robertson

Longtime Konawa area resident Henry Herman "Hank" Robertson, 83, died Friday, Nov. 11, at home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1922, in Maud to Alfred Wesley and Nettie Lee (Goss) Robertson. He graduated from Vamoosa High School in 1940.

He served as an aviation machinist's mate second class in the U.S. Navy During World War II. He received an honorable discharge Oct. 1, 1945.

After serving, he graduated from East Central State University with a bachelor of arts degree. He received his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1953.

He married Mary K. "Katy" Majors Dec. 24, 1946, in Bowlegs.

He taught school and coached for 39 years and retired in 1984. He taught and coached at Vamoosa, Bowlegs and Allen public schools.

He was inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1982. He served on the OECA Board and was a member of the board of directors of the CVEC since 1986.

He was a member of Saint Louis Baptist Church and the American Legion Post 70.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of over 58 years, Mary K. "Katy" Robertson of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Danny Freeman of Konawa; sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and Brenda Robertson of Allen and Mark and Debbie Robertson of Maud; four brothers, A.W. "Nuggie" Robertson of Konawa, Arnold Robertson of Konawa, Keith Robertson of Okemah and Dick Robertson of Konawa; four sisters, Willa Dean Wall of Harrah, Laquita Huckleberry of Konawa, Billie Collins of Shawnee and Jerry Lemmings of Konawa; five grandchildren, Dana Ezell, Chris Freeman, Lisa Cundiff, Marcy Robertson and Cory Walker; three great-grandchildren, Kinlee and Kamlyn Cundiff and Nathan Ezell.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Grace Community Church in Vamoosa with the Rev. Cal Hunter and the Rev. Glenn Peck officiating. Burial will be at Dora Cemetery. Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home in Konawa is directing arrangements.

Alene M. Graham

Shawnee resident Alene M. Graham, 81, died Friday, Nov. 11, at home.

She was born Oct. 3,1924, in Earlsboro to Hershel and Audie Taylor. She graduated from Earlsboro High School.

She was a retired grocery checker. He enjoyed her grandchildren, her pets, traveling and visiting with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl Graham; sister, Frances McMillan, and brother, Hubert Taylor.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, J.B. (Joe Pete) and Linda Graham of Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, Karlene and Gene Wallace of Oak Run, Calif.; grandchildren, Lisa and Gary Wesley of Shawnee; John and Sherrie Graham of Shawnee; Darlyn Dulaney of Redding, Calif.; Rick Wallace of Anderson, Calif.; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

James F. Slater

James F. Slater, a long-time resident of Oklahoma City and owner of Slater Advertising Company, made his transition on Nov. 7, at the Arizona State Veterans Home in Phoenix, Ariz.

Services to celebrate his life will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, 2717 W. Hefner Road in Oklahoma City, with burial afterward at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee.

James "Jim" Slater was born Oct. 1, 1918, in Scotts Hill, Tenn. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1936. In 1942, he married Stella Mae Offill. They moved to Oklahoma City and had two children, Lynda and F. Jim. He continued to live in Oklahoma City until February 2002 when he moved to Phoenix to be near his daughter.

Jim served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II as a mobile training unit instructor for airplane mechanics, and he also served in the Korean conflict.

He was a member of Siloam Masonic Lodge No. 276 and India Shrine of Oklahoma City.

He is survived by his younger brother, Col. Paul A. Slater, of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; his daughter, Lynda Madaghiele, of Gilbert, Ariz.; his son, Dr. F. Jim Slater, of Plano, Texas; and his three grandchildren, Jodie, Shelly, and Stephen Slater.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or church in Jim Slater's name.

Ruth Rachel Oster

Ruth Rachel Oster, 77, of Shawnee died Friday, Nov. 11, at home after a brief battle with metastatic lung cancer.
She was born April 9, 1928, in Krem, N.D.,to Tobias and Lydia (Kilber) Guenthner. She was a baptized Ruth Royal (Rahel) Guenthner June 28, 1928, at the Lutheran gemeinde in Mannhaven, N.D., and was confirmed on April 20, 1941, at the Lutherkirche near Stanton, N.D.

She attended Mercer County schools, completing ninth grade at Hazen High School. She attained her life-long goal of completing her high school education when she earned her G.E.D. in 1976.

In 1989, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which she fought courageously and overcame.

Ruth lived most of her life in Hazen, N.D., where she was a homemaker and rancher's wife. She also lived briefly in Beulah and Mandan, N.D. Over the years, she held a variety of jobs outside the home including librarian, retail clerk and nursing assistant. Most recently, she resided in Clarksville, Tenn., before moving to Shawnee one year ago.

Wherever she went, Ruth made friends and involved herself in a variety of activities. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Shawnee and was active with the Sunlight senior's group there prior to becoming ill.

Over the years, Ruth was active with the Homemakers Club, Ladies' Aid Society, women's Bible study circles, the Cow Belles (womens auxiliary of the Stockmen's Association), the American Buffalo Association and the Clarksville Senior Citizens.

Ruth always strove to learn and grow, embracing each new opportunity to expand her horizon. She enjoyed reading, traveling, socializing, needlecrafts, cooking and baking, gardening and family gatherings. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her delight.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, John; brothers, Irwin and Reuben; sister, Lorraine Kruckenberg; and infant son, Thomas "Tommy" Heine.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Cynthia Heine of Pleasant View, Tenn.; daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and R.J. Baker of Hohenwald, Tenn.; Sandra and Don Merchant of Shawnee; grandsons, Mike and Cathy Sommer of Park City, Mont.; Jon Michael and Angela Heine of Ashland City, Tenn.; Cpl. Toby and Deanna Heine of New Bern, N.C.; James Heine of Pleasantview, Tenn.; granddaughters, Victoria and Kelly Rudolph of Prescott, Wis.; Shawn Heine of Pleasant View, Tenn.; MaLisa and Eric Mudgett of Washington; stepgrandchildren, Greg and Jaymie Baker of Sunfield, Mich.; Gunnery Sgt. Spencer and Brandi Baker of Jacksonville, N.C.; Mark and Amy McEvers of Oklahoma City; Tara Kudobeck of St. Peters, Mo.; 11 great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.

Ruth also is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Otto Guenthner of Bismarck, N.D.; Elthor and Emma Guenthner of Bismarck, N.D.; Benny and Henryetta Guenthner of Hazen, N.D.; sisters, Anna Fetzer of Hazen, N.D.; Valinda Droste of Adams, Wis.; sisters-in-law Janice Guenthner of Bismarck, N.D. and Irene Guenthner of Hazen, N.D.; as well as numerous and very special other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church with the Rev. Karen Fowler-Lindemulder officiating.

Burial will be at Beulah Cemetery in Beulah, N.D. Walker Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn W. Richardson

Verden resident Glenn W. Richardson, 82, died Friday, Nov. 11, at his farm. He was born September 14, 1923, in Fort Cobb to Walter L. and Rosalie May (Wellman) Richardson.
Richardson married Naomi Mae Pitts of Fort Cobb, January 6, 1945, in Tecumseh. He was a dairy farmer, father, grandfather, and an active member of the First Baptist Church, Chickasha, for 54 years. His childhood was spent in Fort Cobb, where he attended Crescent School and graduated from Fort Cobb High School in 1940. He attended Trade School in Chickasha to be trained as a pattern maker. His skills enabled him to work in a foundry during World War II in Fairfield, Conn., making aluminum parts to support the war effort.

Following his marriage, he and his wife lived west of Binger for five years, moved to Ninnekah in 1950, to Chickasha in 1952, and then to their farm near Verden in 1957. He was an active leader and supporter of school and community activities including Verden PTA, school and athletics organizations, Grady County 4-H Clubs, as well as serving on the Verden School Board for 20 years. Mr. and Mrs. Richardson were honored as the Oklahoma Farm Bureau State Farm Family of the Year. Richardson enjoyed woodworking, reading, and attending the various activities of his grandchildren. The focus of Mr. Richarson's life was his wife, children and grandchildren.

Richardson was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Rosalie; his wife Naomi; two brothers, Harold and Gerald Richardson; and one sister, Rena Smith.

He is survived by daughter, Linda McElroy of Purcell, her children Lisa and Dennis Wright of Norman, and Greg and Kelli McElroy of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter Janell and her husband Sam Hendry of Shawnee, their children Scott Hendry of Norman, and Lauren Hendry of Shawnee; and daughter Karen and her husband Dean Cunningham of Verden, and their children, Michael Cunningham of Norman and Daniel Cunningham of Verden; one sister, Leota Hibbs of Weston, Missouri; sister-in-law, Lorene Pitts of La Habra, California; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and relatives.

In honor of their grandfather, Mr. Richardson's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

Service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Chickasha, with the Rev. Johnny Tims officiating. Burial will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home. Memorial contributions made to the First Baptist Church of Chickasha.
