Erwin M. Smith 12-13-1875 Warrensburg, MO-8-17-1904

Erwin M. Smith, living just East of Skedee, Oklahoma, died at his home last Wednesday, Aug 17, 1904 after a serious illness of only a few days and was buried in the Pawnee Cemetery Thursday, August 18, 1904.

Erwin M. Smith was born in Johnson County, Missouri, near Warrensburg on Dec. 13, 1875. He came to Pawnee County, Oklahoma 9 years ago. His parents, John G. Smith and Mrs. Sarah E. (Goin) Smith are living near Warrensburg and received the news of his illness and death too late to come here. Six brothers and three sisters also mourn with the parents in their sad loss.

Mr. Smith was a hard working, energetic young man, 28 years old at the time of his death. His many friends and acquaintances here extend their sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones and sadly regret
the untimely death of so estimable neighbor and friend.
