DD FLEMING
D.D. FLEMING, 77, died at Broken Bow Saturday night, of yellow jaundice,
and funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Holly
Creek schoolhouse, Rev. PRICE, pentacostal minister of Broken Bow,
officiating.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Coffey Funeral home of Idabel.
Fleming is survived by his wife and one son, Cap FLEMING of Broken
Bow.

Lightning is fatal for Mrs. Jesse L. JONES. Struck as she stood near window
in home.
A bolt of lightning struck and instantly killed Mrs. Jesse Lee Jones, 27,
about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at her home two and one-half miles south of Iron
Stob.
Mrs. Jones was standing near a window in her home when the lightning struck
a tree nearby. She was dead when her husband, who was also in the house,
reached her. Neither Jones nor their three children were injured.
Funeral services have tentatively been set for 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the
Shults Baptist church with Rev. J.A.Hogg officiating. Coffey funeral home
is in charge.
A native of Nashville, Ark.,she is survived by her husband;three children,William
Lee, Charlotte Marie and Nadine Jones all of the home address;mother,Mrs.
Alice Odell,Idabel;two brothers,John Odell,Idabel,and Pierce Odell, U.S.Navy
in Washington, and one sister, Mrs. Dillard Jones, Idabel

Hershel PARISH Is Found Dead, Services Set
Hershel O. PARISH, 42, Idabel, was found dead in a pasture on the north
edge of Idabel about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Death was attributed to natural
causes.
He was found by two passers-by, who noted from the adjacent roadway "someone
lying out in the pasture" and reported the matter to the Sheriff's office
and Idabel Police Department.
Wallace FLOYD, representative of the State Medical Examiner's office, and
the county medical examiner said that there were no signs of foul play.
PARISH was known to have a heart condition and was undertreatment by a local
doctor at the time of his death.
Hershel O. PARISH was born Nov.1, 1940 at Garvin, and had lived most of his
life in McCurtain County. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday in the Idabel Norwood
Funeral Chapel. Arrangements and burial in the Forest Hill Cemetery are under
the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of Idabel.

Winnie HUNKAPILLER,97, of Tom, passed away Dec. 19, in Idabel.
She was born Oct. 2,1901, in DeQueen,Ark.,to Charlie and Annie (Galahaw)
Weathers. Hunkapiller had lived in McCurtain County most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband,Joseph Hunkapiller; a daughter,Ruby
CLARKSTON; a great-grandson,Kelly WOODS; and several brothers and sisters.
Living relatives: one daughter, Virginia; one grandson and one granddaughter;
one brother, Tom WEATHERS; two sisters, Mary MCDONALD and Bea LIGHT, seven
great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Tom Cemetery. Norwood-Leonard
Funeral Home,Idabel in charge.
