Explosion Of Dynamite Fatal To Millers A. DAVIS
Miller A. DAVIS, 34 years old, was blown to pieces Monday afternoon about (looks like 3:30) o'clock when a charge of dynamite exploded unexpectedly when he was blowing up stumps on a farm belonging to County Commissioner Geo. J. TOUCHSTONE, two and one-half miles southwest of Broken Bow. Davis placed a charge of dynamite under a stump and it failed to explode. As he approached the stump, the charge exploded. The body was badly mangled. ? and George TOUCHSTONE, a small son of the former, and Mr. DAVIS were working together in the field when the accident occurred, but being some distance from where the explosion took place, none of them saw the accident. The body was put in a truck which was driven to the field by the men and carried to the home of Geo. TOUCHSTONE, later being taken to Idabel to be prepared for burial by the Skaggs Undertaking company. The entire town of Broken Bow was saddened by Mr. DAVIS'S tragic death. For the last two years he has been employed by the county in building roads, working under Commissioner Touchstone. Miller was reared in this county and had many friends who are deeply grieve over his untimely death. Mr. DAVIS was a veteran of the World War, having served twenty-two months in the Medical Corps, Battery ?, A.E.F. At the close of the war he was discharged with honors and returned home and settled down to take up the responsibilities of life and good citizenship. The funeral was conducted from the First Presbyterian church in this city Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the service being in charge of Rev. R. M. ?, of Goodland. A large number of friends and relatives were present to pay their last tribute of love and respect. Following the funeral the body was laid to rest in the Holly Creek Cemetery, seven miles southwest of Broken Bow, beside the deceased's mother, who died several years ago. The Skaggs Undertaking Company of Idabel, had charge of the funeral directions. The pallbearers were: Major M. DEAN, Joseph HOUGH, Mason TOUCHSTONE, Earl CURRENCE, George BURNS, and S. (looks like P. Jacobs.) The beautiful floral offerings attested the high esteem in which Mr. DAVIS was held by his friends. The deceased is survived by his wife, who was formerly Miss Johnnie BIRD HINES; a son, George Miller DAVIS, age four years; Father, John H. DAVIS, who lives on Rock creek near the Arkansas line; two sisters (from here it gets so bad I can't make it out).

WALKER
Denison WALKER, full-blood Choctaw Indian, died in the State Tubercular Hospital at Sulphur, Friday, and the body was shipped to Idabel, where funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Denison cemetery by Rev. S. B. Parson, pastor of the Methodist Protestant church of Idabel. Burial was under auspices of the Oklahoma National Guard of which the deceased was a member. Denison was about 40 years old, and had lived in McCurtain county all of his life. He is survived by his wife and several children, and two brothers, Solen and Joe WALKER, all of Idabel.

KELLEY
Ira Albert KELLEY, 68, passed away at 7 a.m. this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John J. MAYS, seven miles southeast of Idabel after two months of illness of paralysis.
He was stricken on January 19 and has been confined to his bed since that time.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Redland Cemetery with Rev. Prater officiating. Burial will be made under direction of Chappell Funeral Home of Idabel.
He is survived by one son, Jim KELLEY, Nacona, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Mays, and Mrs. Oda SMITH, Bloomburg, Arkansas. The deceased was a first cousin of Senator Paul STEWART, Antlers, and Charles W. STEWART of Haworth. He was employed at the Whiteman Store in Goodwater 10 years ago, and seven years ago was employed by the Stewart Store at Pleasant Hill. He was well known in the southeast part of the county.

Funeral services for Oscar JENKINS, age 57, were conducted last Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Broken Bow cemetery, with Rev. Curtis PRICE, pastor of the Assembly of God church, officiating. JENKINS died Wednesday night at his home here. Burial was under the direction of the Coffey Funeral home. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lizzie JENKINS; six daughters, Mrs. Frank TURNAGE, Mrs. Charlie PRATER, Miss Lenora JENKINS, Miss Nellie JENKINS, Miss Doris JENKINS, all of Broken Bow, and Mrs. Jessie JONES, Honey Grove, Texas; four sons, David, George, Leon and ? Jenkins, Broken Bow: four brothers, John JENKINS, Broken Bow, Jess JENKINS of Jefferson, Texas, Warren JENKINS of ?, Texas, and Robert JENKINS of Garvin. Eight grandchildren also survive.

Mrs. Esther FRANKLIN, 71, died Sunday at 7 a.m. at her home in Durant and funeral rites were held at the Coffey Chapel in Idabel, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. W. B. Barber officiating. Burial was made in Denison Cemetery. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Agnes WALKER, Durant; two sons, William T. BOONE and Curtis BOONE, and two grandchildren. Mrs. FRANKLIN resided in Idabel until a few years ago when she moved to Durant.

Charles H. PARK
Ashdown, Ark. Nov 3--- Charles Hudson PARK, age 77 died Friday night, October 23, following an illness of three weeks. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church here Sunday afternoon, with Rev. A. P. Elliff, the pastor, officiating. He was assisted by Rev. W. R. Boyd and Rev. S. P. Riccobene. A life long friend, Pelly NORWOOD of Lockesburg, delivered a short talk upon the fine character of Mr. PARK. Interment was made in Ashdown Cemetery. Phillips Funeral Home were in charge of arrangement. PARK was born at Paraclifta, Sevier County, on September 30, 1865. He was the last surviving member of a family of 16 children, 13 of whom lived past the 70 year mark. He was a lifelong member of the Baptist church and was a deacon in the First Baptist church here for more than 30 years, and held the same office with the Wilton Baptist church. PARK served for 12 years as a public official of Little County--four years as a county treasurer, district clerk and as county clerk. However, he enjoyed farming more than any other pursuit, and was so engaged up to the time of his last illness.

Roy HARMON, Hugo, Succumbs Monday
Hugo, Nov. 4--Roy Edgar HARMON, 51, former Choctaw county sheriff, died Monday at 4 p.m. of a heart attack at his home here. He was employed as a guard at Camp Maxey, Texas, at the time of his death. Born in Lamar Co., Texas, he had made his home in Choctaw county many years. Survivors include his wife and one son, Roy HARMON, Jr., now serving in the United States armed forces. Funeral services were arranged tentatively for Wednesday afternoon at First Methodist church here.

Ben VIRGIN, Jr., Is Not Killed
The war department release reporting Sgt. Ben VIRGIN, Jr., dead in action last week was erroneous, according to a letter from his mother, Mrs. Velma VIRGIN, formerly of Golden and now of Wichita Falls, Tex. Sgt. VIRGIN'S name was included in a casualty list released to the press last week. He was wounded, however, and has been decorated with the Purple Heart, an Oak Leaf Cluster and the Bronze Star. He wears stars for four major campaigns. He is serving in the European theater of war. A letter to his mother last Saturday stated that he is well and is back on duty.

ARNETT Dies (April 7, 1945)
Funeral is held Monday Afternoon
James Samuel ARNETT, 50, died at his home in Idabel at 11:30 p.m. Saturday of a heart ailment. He had been in ill health for several months. Born September 30, 1894, in Texas, he had resided in this community 30 years, moving from Texas. He was a retired farmer and a member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ida ARNETT, Idabel; three daughters, Misses Lillian, Rachel, and Mildred ARNETT; one brother, Judge Geo. T. ARNETT, Idabel, and two sisters, Miss Jessye ARNETT and Mrs. O. G. HAMIL, both of Idabel. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Coffey funeral home with Rev. W. W. Starnes officiating. Interment was in Denison Cemetery. Pallbearers were E. P. SNEAD, Harold STEVENSON, E. E. COCHRAN, John MORELAND, Guy R. OLD and J. M. CRAIG. Earl MAYS, Pat LAWSON, C. E. BOLLINGER and Miss Margaret STAMPS accompanied by Mrs. J. R. WATERS, sang "Where We'll Never Grow Old," "Shall We Gather at the River" and "Rock of Ages." The McCurtain county department of public welfare was closed during the funeral.

FLANAGIN
Clara FLANAGIN, 55, widow of the late Carl FLANAGIN, died at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Saint Anthony hospital in Oklahoma City. She had been rushed to the hospital Friday with a tetanus infection in a leg wound suffered recently at her home. Born June 20, 1890, in Arkansas, she had resided in this community for almost 30 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Presbyterian church with the Rev. R. R. Craig, pastor, officiating. Music was under the direction of Miss Geneva ?. Interment was in the Broken Bow cemetery under the direction of the Coffey funeral home. Bearers were Joe HOUGH, Jim TOUCHSTONE, Clarence LANE, Dennis BEE-ON, Jack CURRENCE and Milt LAMBERT. She is survived by two sons, Claude W. FLANAGIN, Broken Bow, and Shelby R. FLANAGIN, Madill; one daughter, Mrs. G. B. HALLMARK, Oklahoma City; one brother, S. K. ROBINSON, Ada; one sister, Mrs. Clyde WOOD, Durant; and one grandchild.

HENDON
Joseph Earnest HENDON, 80, well-known Idabel citizen died at his home of a heart ailment at 2:15 p.m. Saturday. he had been in ill health for a number of years, but he had been bedfast only since last Thursday.
Rev. HENDON was born in Jasper, Ala. August 14, 1865, but moved to Oklahoma at an early age. He moved to Haworth from Oklahoma City in 1914 and operated a lumber yard there until 1923 when he moved to Idabel.
He was a bookkeeper for the sheriff for some time and was a contractor. he was ordained a minister of the Methodist church in 1915 and had organized Sunday school classes and preached over most of this county, never for remuneration.
He was a member of the Methodist church and a Master Mason.
He married the former Mrs. Mecca SHELTON, who is remembered as a teacher in the Haworth school system in 1915. She survives him as do four daughters, Mrs. W.M. LONSWAY, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Tom CROW, San Antonio, Tex.; Mrs. A.R. KIRCHNER, Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Lucille RAINEY, Galveston. Tex.; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Cliff MILLER, Denver, Colo.; one brother, B.B. HENDON, Dustin; one sister, Mrs. Lucy COYLE, Waco, Tex.; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Idabel Methodist church with Rev. Thomas E. WEBB, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. R.R. CRAIG, pastor of the Presbyterian church.
Interment was in Denison cemetery under direction of Coffey funeral home..

Rev. WEBB Is Reassigned To Idabel Church
Rev. Thomas E. WEBB was reappointed to the Idabel pastorate Sunday at the East Central annual conference of the Methodist church in Tulsa.
Rev. WEBB, who has just concluded his fourth year in Idabel, is well known in both religious and civic circles in the Idabel area, being active in all church affairs, in civic organizations and in all matters for community betterment.
Mrs. WEBB is equally well-known among the women of Idabel, being an active church worker.
Other appointments read Sunday included:
J.C. CURRY, appointed Durant district superintendent.
Dr. R.T. BLACKBURN was reassigned to the Broken church. One of the best-known Oklahoma ministers, he has been at the Durant First church for the past two years, previously being Durant district superintendent for almost three terms. He has been in this district 17 years.
Rev. Charles A. HOLCOMB was assigned to the Eagletown church, replacing Tom DAVIS, who served there during the past year.
Robert E. LEE, Idabel, was reassigned to the Harris circuit.
W.F. TRIPLET was assigned to the Haworth circuit, replacing Rev. C.B. DAVIS, who was assigned to Bokchite after the year at Haworth.
William T. TEMPLIN was assigned to Valliant-Fort Towson.
C.T. DAVIS was assigned to Wright City from Wapanuka, replacing W.R. BREWER, who is taking a sabbatical year.
W.B. HUBBELL was reassigned to Smithville.
A.J. HAMILTON, former Broken bow pastor, was reassigned for his second year at Antlers.
Rev. JohnR. WEBB, son of Rev. and Mrs. Thomas E. WEBB, completed his fifth year at Okemah and was assigned to the Heavener church.

Rev. E.D. MILLER Resigns Post
Hugo, Oct. 24-- The Rev. E.D. MILLER has resigned as superintendent of the Goodland Indian school near Hugo, after 15 years in that position, and has left with his family to spend several months in Roswell, N.M.
The Rev. Coleman LUCK, former pastor of the Presbyterian church in Marietta and more recently assistant superintendent of the Indian school here, has been named to succeed MILLER.

Military Rites Are Held For Car Victim
Timothy JEFFERSON, Sic, 32, Idabel, died at 1:30 p.m. October 13, at Vancouver, Wash. of injuries received in a car accident.
He was born in Idabel December 28, 1912, and was reared in this community. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and was stationed at the Portland, Ore. naval base at the time of his death. He married the former Miss Norman BROWN October 20, 1934.
He is survived by his widow; mother, Mrs. Nicey SHAW, Idabel, route 1; one brother, Juluis Barney, Portland, Ore; two sisters, Mrs. Salina JESSE, Broken Bow; and Mrs. Rosa WILLISTON, Idabel, route 1.
Military funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Idabel Presbyterian church with Rev. R.R. CRAIG, pastor and a veteran of World War I, officiating. He was assisted by Chaplain Fred McPHERSON, Camp Maxey.
Singers were Miss Grace LOUDERMILK, Mrs. W.E. COLLIER, Mrs. Robert MARTIN, Mrs. Frank LeGRANDE, and Miss Ethel LeGRANDE, accompanied by Miss Geneva HADDOCK.
The coffin was draped in a flag at the church and also at the American Legion plot at Denison cemetery. Chaplain McPHERSON gave the graveside service and Rev. CRAIG the benediction. A bulger from Camp Maxey played "Taps" and an eight-man firing squad fired the three volleys.
The flag was at half mast during the services for the first veteran of World War II to be buried in the Legion plot.
Bearers were veterans of the armed forces, H.S. ROWLAND, LEE WEAVER and B.H. McGOVERN, navy veterans, and Billie LAWRENCE, ROY ROWLAND, and Grover DANIELS, army veterans, and Jimmie Lee KING, navy veteran, alternate.
Interment was under direction of Wilson funeral home, and military rites were arranged by C.H. HOTTENSTEIN and J.G. HENDRIX of the local Legion post.

A.H. LATIMER Critically Ill
A.H. LATIMER, pioneer resident of Idabel, is critically ill at his home in Oak Lawn addition.
Mrs. LATIMER, who is also ill, is reposted to be improving.

Deputies at the county clerk's office indicated this week that they will welcome volunteers to help in filing discharges of county men if they start coming in much faster.

General SMITH Dies Sunday At Broken Bow Home
General SMITH, 76, died at his home at Broken Bow at 12:25 p.m. Sunday of a stroke.
Born in Kansas City September 5, 1869, he had resided in the community 40 years, moving from Arkansas. He was a Mason.
Survivors include six sons, Clifford SMITH of Tulsa; Noah, Ira and Billy J. SMITH all of Broken Bow; Allie SMITH, Garnet, Kan. and Ora SMITH, Conway, Ark., and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Broken Bow Baptist church with Rev. John SMITH officiating.
Interment was in Crown Hill cemetery under direction of Coffey funeral home.

Will Nat ALLEN Gets Release
T-Sgt. Will Nat ALLEN, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.O. ALLEN, Idabel, received his discharge at Camp Chaffee Saturday after three years and four months in the army and 19 months in Africa, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium.
With the criminal investigation branch, he received the Good Conduct medal, the EAME ribbon with four battle stars and a meritorious service plaque.
He was a deputy sheriff under Joe HOUGH for two years and was working for DuPont at Pryor when he entered service.

Mrs. TOLLESON To Meet Husband
Mrs. Wayne A. TOLLESON, secretary at Coffey funeral home for the past two months, resigned today to leave for Pauls Valley where she will meet her husband, Wayne A. TOLLESON, PhMic.
TOLLESON, a veteran of four years and two months in the navy, is expecting a discharge this weekend.

Two County Men Dock In East
Two McCurtain county residents are due on the east coast this week, according to an army announcement over the weekend:
Pfc. Frank L. EPPLER, Broken Bow, is aboard the SS Thaddeus Kosciusko, due in Boston today.(Wednesday)
T-5 Tandie COLE, Tom , was aboard the SS Sea Scamp which docked at Newport News Thursday.

MCCLENDON Is Named County Superintendent
Mrs. McClendon Resigns After Almost 3 Years
Mrs. Leroy McCLENDON, superintendent of McCurtain county schools for the past two years and 11 months, tendered her resignation to the county commissioners effective Monday, October 22, she revealed this week.
The commissioners, meeting Monday morning, accepted her resignation and appointed LeRoy McCLENDON to the position.
Mrs. McCLENDON accepted the position almost three years ago when her husband resigned to enter the navy. She was re-elected without opposition in the last general election.
McCLENDON, who assumed the duties Monday, received his discharge recently at Sampson, N.Y. He had the rating of chief specialist.
Mrs. McCLENDON this week accepted the position of principal at Denison school and will hold it until C.E. McCUIRE recovers from injuries received in a highway accident recently.

Dr. DEBERRY Dies Tuesday
Dr. Lemuel Seaborn DeBERRY, 79, died at his Idabel home at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday.
born August 21, 1866 in Texas, he came to Idabel in 1904 from Clarksville, Texas. A retired physician, he owned and managed a large plantation at Shawneetown.
He was a member of the Idabel Methodist church and was an honorary member of the board of trustees.
Mrs. DeBERRY died June 11, 1938.
Survivors are two nieces, Mrs. C.T. LOFTIN, Pauls valley, and Mrs. J.M. HOWISON, Bogata, Texas, and the following nephews;  Luther and Dick DeBERRY, Idabel; Clarence and Albert DeBERRY, Bogata; Tom, Allen M. and Henry D. DeBERRY, Austin; Paul DeBERRY, San Angelo, and Attorney Carl Wright JOHNSON and S.E. JOHNSON, San Antonio.
He is also survived by four step-sons, Arthur, Sidney B., Harry, and Robert M."Bug" LOVE, all of Idabel.
Funeral services were scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today(Wednesday) at the Idabel Methodist church with Rev. Thomas E. WEBB, pastor, officiating.
The church choir will be under direction of Mrs. H.B. CURTIS.
Arrangements and interment in Denison cemetery are under direction of Coffey funeral home.
Bearers are R.B. WEST, H. GIBSON, C.O. ALLEN, Judge T.J. BARNES, Ira RONE, A.P. MARTIN and A.G. PHILLIPS, all of Idabel, and H.C. STAUTER, Valliant.

Idabel Firms Will Close At 5 p.m. Daily
Agreement Signed For Fall And Winter Months
An earlier closing hour has been agreed on by a number of Idabel business houses, a spokesman for the group stated this morning.
The earlier closing--the customary hour having previously been 6 p.m.--was set at 5 p.m. during November, December, January and February to give personnel more leisure time and more daylight after work hours.
The petition circulated read:
We the undersigned firms of Idabel, do hereby agree to close our places of business at 5 p.m. each week day--9 p.m. on Saturdays--effective Monday, October 29, through the months of November, December, January and February.
It was signed by KIRK'S Department store, L.W. WOODROOF, GRIFFITH Hardware company, EVANS Brothers 5, 10 and 25 cent store, Wade STEVENS, I.K. WILSON, Dunlap Company by M. HAMRICK, Preston  COLLVINS, R. OLIVE, Western Auto by Cecil PENNINGTON, J. SHAFTER, McCurtain County Hardware, and M. FINE.

Services Pending For Oliver PARKS
Services are pending for Oliver P. PARKS, Tom, who died Tuesday at 8 a.m. in the McCurtain Memorial hospital. He was born January 5, 1884 in Polk county, Ark., and had resided in McCurtain county for the past 55 years, coming here from Arkansas. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife, Martha, eight sons, 28 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two brothers, Doe, Crosset, Ark., and Swift, El Dorado, Ark; two daughters.

Joint Services Held Friday For Wreck Victims.
Joint funeral services for three county residents killed in a highway accident last week, Mrs. Lester ENSLEY, Miss Cora ARCHER and Jack ENSLEY, were held at 2 p.m. Friday at Garvin Baptist church with Rev. Orville Manning and Rev. Odell Stuart officiating. The three were killed in a car-truck wreck Wednesday morning which also injured four others. Mrs. Lester ENSLEY the former Miss Lola Mae ARCHER, 32, Garvin, was born September 30, 1920 at Garvin and has resided in Garvin all her life. She was a member of the Assembly of God church. She is survived by her husband, Lester ENSLEY; one daughter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John ARCHER, Garvin; five sisters, Miss Pearly ARCHER, Mrs. Maude BOYD, Mrs. Lizzie EARLY, Mrs. Ida WILDS and Miss Nettie B. ARCHER, all of Garvin, and one brother, Fred ARCHER, Garvin.
Miss Cora ARCHER, 34, Garvin, a sister of Mrs. ENSLEY, was born June 1, 1924, at Garvin, and she had resided in that community all her life. She was a member of the Assembly of God church. She is survived by her parents, five sisters and one brother. Jack ENSLEY, one-year-old, was born September 20, 1957, at Idabel. He is survived by his father, Lester ENSLEY, Garvin; one sister and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John ARCHER, Garvin.

Services Today For Prominent Idabel Attorney

Funeral services will be held today in the Idabel Church of Christ for George T. ARNETT, 74, a prominent Idabel attorney, who died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 25, 1958) at the McCurtain Memorial Hospital. A graduate of the Cumberland University law school at Lebanon, Tenn., Mr. ARNETT started his law practice with one of his schoolmates, W. J. HOLLOWAY. Later Mr. ARNETT opened an office in Idabel with the Late A. G. ETHERIDGE. In 1923 he was appointed district judge of McCurtain, Choctaw, and Pushmataha counties. After his tenure as district judge, he returned to law practice in Idabel. Lately Mr. ARNETT had been associated with the firm of ARNETT and Ed LeFORCE, until ill health forced him to slow up his practices. He was a member of the Idabel Lions Club and the first Chamber of Commerce. ARNETT was a member of the State Agricultural Stabilization Conservation committee and also served as its attorney. ARNETT was born in Manchester, Texas and moved to Idabel in 1915. Survivors include his wife, Lottle; a son and daughter; two sisters, Miss Jessy ARNETT and Mrs. Sallie HAMIL, both of Idabel; and three grandchildren. Burial will be in the Denison cemetery under direction of Coffey funeral home.

Dr. J. T. MORELAND Dies Saturday At Idabel Home
Dr. James Thaddeus MORELAND, 87, a retired physician, died late Saturday night at his home in Idabel. He was born in Elijay, Ga., but had lived in Idabel since August, 1903. He graduated from the Chattanooga, Tenn., college in 1901 and practiced his profession in Arkansas before moving to Idabel. When he practiced before statehood, Dr. MORELAND had to travel over the trails on horseback. He didn't have a car until 1912. Before his retirement six years ago, he had delivered more than 4000 babies in McCurtain county. In 1954 he was honored and received recognition by the Medical Society of Oklahoma for having served as a practicing physician in the state for 50 years. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Idabel Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite and of Bedowin Temple of Muskogee. He was a veteran of the First World War. Survivors include two daughters; a brother, Jess MORELAND of McAlester; a sister, Mrs. Sue PARTAIN of Idabel and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at the First Methodist church in Idabel. The Rev. John Kirby and Rev. Loren Messenger officiated. Burial was in Denison cemetery under the direction of Coffey funeral home.

Services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Mill Creek cemetery for Mrs. M. L. TODD, DeQueen, who died at 9:30 .m. at her home. Born April 5, 1867 in Sevier county, Ark., she had resided in DeQueen all of her life. She is survived by one son and five daughters; 33 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Burial was in Mill Creek cemetery under the direction of Coffey funeral home.

Mr. John Floyd BATCHELOR, 85, of Idabel, died Tuesday in a nursing home. Mr. BATCHELOR was born 8 Aug 1888 in Boxelder, TX, and had lived in Idabel for the past 46 years. He was a retired farmer. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Norwood-Welch Funeral Home. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Tiney BATCHELOR, one son and three daughters . Two brothers, Ernest BATCHELOR of Hooks, TX, and Richard BATCHELOR of DeKalb, TX, one sister, Mrs. Ruth BISHOP of Muleshoe,TX, 16 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Forrest Hill cemetery near Idabel. Born June 18, 1889 in Bonham, TX, Mrs. BATCHELOR had been a resident of Idabel since 1924, moving from DeKalb, TX. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a son and 3 daughters; 17 grandchildren, and 29 great grandchildren.

Margaret CRAWFORD CHEATWOOD, 69, Idabel, died Thursday in McCurtain Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services are set for 2 pm. Monday in Norwood Funeral Chapel, Idabel, with burial in Valliant Cemetery. Brother George Harvey Will Officiate. Norwood Funeral Home is in charge.
Born Aug. 11, 1919 in Valliant, to Sam and Mamie Bettis MABRY, Mrs CHEATWOOD was a lifetime resident of McCurtain County and retired employee of Mac's Cleaners in Idabel. She married Leon CHEATWOOD March 7, 1987, at Felker Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband Leon of Idabel and a sister, Francis SPRAGGINS of Garland, Texas.

Funeral services for Bill CRANK, 84, Oklahoma City, are set for 10:30 am. Saturday in Forest Hill Baptist Church.
CRANK, formerly of Idabel, died Thursday in a Midwest City Hospital. The Rev. Cecil Corey will officiate services and burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery under direction of ???wood funeral home of Idabel.
CRANK was born May 6, 1905, in Arkansas and lived in this area all of his life. Moving to Oklahoma City four years ago. He and ???? Ives were married for 60 years, from Dec. 24, 1921, where they were wed in (?) Bibel, until she died Oct. 23, 1984.
CRANK was a retired Farmer. Survivors including two granddaughters, one grandson and five great-grandchildren mostly reside in the Oklahoma City area.

Graveside services for Ernie William CASH, 60, of Idabel, were held at 11 am. Sunday in Denison Cemetery under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home. CASH died Thursday at his home in Idabel. He was born May 17, 1929 at Centerville, Ill.

John COFFMAN, 71, of Idabel died July 11, 1989 at McCurtain Memorial Hospital.
COFFMAN was born March 7, 1918 at Idabel and had lived in this area most of his life. He was retired Shoe Cobbler.
Services were held Friday, July 14 in Norwood Funeral Chapel of Broken Bow with Rev. Oscar Wilkie officiating. Burial was in the Denison Cemetery under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters; one half brother and four grandchildren.

Roy HARMON, Hugo, Succumbs Monday Hugo, Nov. 4--Roy Edgar HARMON, 51, former Choctaw county sheriff, died Monday at 4 p.m. of a heart attack at his home here. He was employed as a guard at Camp Maxey, Texas, at the time of his death. Born in Lamar Co., Texas, he had made his home in Choctaw county many years.
Survivors include his wife and one son, Roy HARMON, Jr., now serving in the United States armed forces. Funeral services were arranged tentatively for Wednesday afternoon at First Methodist church here.
