My people came to Oklahoma from Alabama in the years of 1840 to 1845.  The trip was made by land with emigrant trains.  I am told they had much difficulty in crossing the streams, sometimes fording and sometimes crossing by ferry boats.  they engaged in farming and stock raising.

I do not think they made any runs, as they had plenty of land--all was your that you could fence, no limit.

I am a farmer. I was peace officer a short while.

About 1884 or 85, 2 factions of Creek tribe was engaged in little War.  My father was Northern soldier in the Civil War.

I lived near Tulsa Okla about 35 years or since 1900 a small town 4 or 5 stores.  My Uncle had cattle where the greater part of Tulsa is now.  The HODGES also owned a great part of where Tulsa is now.

I am 3/4 Indian, 1/4 colored.  I have a fair tribal history.  I know of treaties with the U. S.; Chitto Harjo (Crazy Snake); also, the Green Peach War, etc.
