K. N. Kinkehee was born in the Seminole Nation and was married twice. First marriage was to Peggy BARNETT, first cousin of Jackson Barnett, and she was born at Eufaula. His second wife's name was Nina and they reared five children.

He was liked by all his tribe and made many trips to Washington in behalf of his people. He was a very prosperous farmer, and always had plenty of money and stock.

Mr. Kinkehee was Band Chief and was one of the chief councilmen under Chief HULBUTTO and Chief BROWN. These positions he held for thirty years.

He also helped lay out the townsite of Wewoka.

K. N. Kinkehee died in 1907, and it is said he was forty-eight years old. He was buried on his farm, seventeen miles north of Wewoka, in Section 29-11-8.
