Services Held For Mary Lee Hatcher

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. December 4 at the Dela cemetery for Mrs. Mary Lee Hatcher, 37, who passed away after an illness of four weeks. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. M.M. McKee of the Free Will Baptist church of Antlers.

Mrs. Hatcher was born in Sherman, Texas on July 21, 1909 and had lived in Antlers for 18 years.

Surviving her are: her husband, Roy of Antlers; two sons, Leo Wayne and Floyd Lee, and one daughter Clemmie May, all of the home; her mother, Mrs. Julia Gordon of Watonga, three sisters and three brothers.

VANCE, Gertrude E., age 84, of Midwest City, died Dec. 17, 1991, at a local nursing home. She was born March 3, 1907 in Choctaw County, Ok., had been a resident of the OKC area over 35 years, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by 2 brothers, L.H. Hatcher and Robert Hatcher, both of Antlers, Ok.; 3 sisters, Annie Neeley and Birdie Mitchell, both of MWC, and Lois Deatherage of OKC; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claborn. Services will be Thurs, Dec 19 at the Hunter Memory Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. with interment at Sunny Lane Cemetery.

Mrs. Hatcher Is Buried At Dela Friday, Jan. 25

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, Jan. 25, at the Dela cemetery for Mrs. Lee Ona Hatcher, 67. Rev. Davidson, Free Will Baptist minister, officiated, and interment was made by the Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers.

Mrs. Hatcher was born in Tennessee Sept. 1878. She had been a member of the Free Will Baptist Church at Mudsand over 22 years.

Besides her husband, J.M. Hatcher, she is survived by seven sons, Willie and Bob Hatcher, Dela; John, L.H., Roy and Mood, of Antlers and George of California; five daughters, Mrs. Arma Mae Neely of Arizona; Mrs. Dick Hale, Dela; Mrs. Jack Mitchell, Ponca City; Mrs. Gertrude Vance, Oklahoma City and Lois Hatcher of the home.

J.M. Hatcher, Retired Baptist Minister, Dies

J.M. Hatcher of Ethel who had lived in Pushmataha county since 1909 died April 8 at the Pushmataha hospital following an illness of a year.

Rev. Frank Wharton, assisted by Rev. Cab Breshers, conducted the funeral services Saturday afternoon at the Freewill Baptist church here. Interment was made in the Dela cemetery by the Coffey funeral home.

Pallbearers were Oade Cockron, Curtis Bennett, Sam Hubb, Claud Massey, Joe Massey and Earl Kemp.

Rev. Hatcher was a retired Freewill Baptist minister. He was born March 20, 1877 in Monroe county, Tenn., and came to Pushmataha county in 1909.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bettie Hatcher; seven sons, W.E. of Antlers, John of Frederick, George of Fresno, Calif., Roy of Antlers, Glenn of Antlers, Robert of Salida, Calif., and L.H. of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Mrs. Anna May Neely of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Bertie Mitchell of Ponca City, and Mrs. Una Hale, Mrs. Gertrude Vance and Mrs. Lois Deatherage all of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Jim Hatcher of Lane and Sam Hatcher of Valliant; one sister, Mrs. Virgie Trigg of Hugo, 40 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

MRS. RACHAEL MIRA SNEED

Rachael Mira Sneed was born in North Carolina, February 9, 1856 and died at Dela, Oklahoma April 18th 1932 at 5 a.m. at the age of seventy-six years, 9 days.

On June the 23, 1871, she was married to W.R. Hatcher and to this union eight children were born, three dying in infancy. She is survived by her husband and five children, four sons and one daughter, besides a hose of friends and other relatives. The children are as follows: Jim Hatcher, Farris; J.M. Hatcher, Dela; A.A. Hatcher, Afton; and Sam Hatcher of Valliant; and Mrs. A.F. Trigg, Hugo. Mrs. Hatcher was converted at the age of 14 and joined the Missionary Baptist church and has lived a devoted Christian life up to the time of her death.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M.M. McKee of Antlers at the White Church cemetery, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

EEVA USSERY, 73, of Hughson, died Wednesday, February 10th, at Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock, California.
Mrs. Ussery was a native of ALBION, OKLAHOMA. She lived in Hughson 35 years. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, William Ussery of Hughson and Charollette Hostiller of Texas; and four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private arrangements. Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson, in charge of arrangements.
